The present study aimed to investigate the perception of students of the Accounting Science course at the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, Pontal campus, regarding the impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the teaching-learning process during remote teaching. This is exploratory research with a quantitative approach. The data were collected by means of an online questionnaire to the students, which yielded 34 valid answers. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Among the main results it was observed that the COVID-19 pandemic contributed both positively and negatively to the students' teaching- learning process. Regarding the positive contributions, the possibility of flexible schedules and study routines stand out, while the lack of interaction with teachers and students of the course and the absence of a favorable environment for study were the aspects considered negative in relation to the teaching-learning process of the students. Overall, it is noteworthy that the students consider the remote teaching-learning process as good and regular, considering that they had difficulties in adaptation which made the process challenging and at the same time enriching.
