This dissertation proposes to present the History of Education within the context of Historiography showing the different analyzes that involve the question of History and Historiography to arrive at a reflection on its teaching, within the scope of the training courses of public and private schools in Uberlândia . Its beginning refers to the understanding of the dimension and breadth of the meaning of History and its relationship with Historiography. The second moment moves towards teaching, checking the History of Education discipline in the courses that form teachers who will work in school institutions both in elementary and high school, as in University education. The conclusion presents, among the different theoretical and methodological paths that underlie the different models of Historiography, another proposal for the Historiography of Brazilian Education that is not only focused on the History of Teaching, but that can serve as an understanding, analysis and criticism in favor of a conception of human societies as global and historical structures where education is constituted along with the social process.
