The university extension as a diffuser of social conflict resolution mechanisms in public schools

Resumo: This report aims to debate, at the academic level, the tasks carried out in the midst of the so-called"Conflict Mediation, Restorative Justice and Culture of Peace in school environment", linked to the StateUniversity of Maranhão. The extension action, selected by public notice, was carried out in 2018 and 2019 bystudents of the Law course at that institution, under the guidance of a professor. In order to disseminate theessence of extra-procedural conflict management in basic education, the main objective of the project was todisseminate values and practices linked to mediation and restorative justice. Thus, to create an environmentbased on a culture of peace and tolerance, the work team, using oral debates, slide shows and dynamics, held several meetings in two public schools in São Luís / MA. Thus, the project obtained good results, given the notable behavioral changes of the target audience after the interventions carried out.

La acción de extensión, seleccionada mediante aviso público, se llevó a cabo en 2018 y 2019 por estudiantes del curso de Derecho de la institución referida, bajo la guía de un profesor. Con el objetivo de difundir la esencia de la gestión de conflictos extraprocesal en la educación básica, el objetivo principal del proyecto era difundir valores y prácticas vinculadas a la mediación y la justicia restaurativa. Por lo tanto, para crear un ambiente basado en una cultura de paz y tolerancia, el equipo de trabajo, utilizando debates orales, presentaciones de diapositivas y dinámicas, celebró varias reuniones en dos escuelas públicas en São Luís / MA. Por lo tanto, el proyecto logró buenos resultados, dados los notables cambios de comportamiento del público objetivo después de las intervenciones realizadas.O relato em voga tem como objeto o debate, em nível acadêmico, das tarefas executadas no bojo do projeto denominado “Mediação de Conflitos, Justiça Restaurativa e Cultura de paz em pauta no ambiente escolar”, ligado à Universidade Estadual do Maranhão. A ação extensionista, selecionada por edital, foi concretizada em 2018 e 2019 por alunos do curso de Direito da aludida instituição, sob chancela de docente orientador. Ambicionando difundir a essência da administração extraprocessual de conflitos na educação básica, o objetivo central do projeto consistiu na difusão de valores e práticas ligados à mediação e à justiça restaurativa. Assim, para criar um ambiente pautado na cultura de paz e na tolerância, a equipe de trabalho, valendo-se de debates orais, slideshow e dinâmicas, promoveu diversos encontros em duas escolas públicas de São Luís/MA.
