Aderência entre pneu e pavimento com camada porosa de atrito no Aeroporto Internacional Tancredo Neves MG

Resumo: The high adherence between the tire and the pavement in the phases of landings and takeoffs of aircrafts is fundamental for the safety of a flight. In this thesis, the conditions of adherence in pavements with Porous Friction Course PFC, surface with high index of emptiness, were studied. It acts directly in the functional aspect of the pavement, draining the water of the surface quickly. Pavements with PFC, although already applied in two Airports in Brazil, still need specific studies, with essays and classifications widespread for all of the types of coverings. The study object was the lane of landings and takeoffs of the International Airport Tancredo Neves, Confins - MG. In that research, it was searched for, through equipments and procedures, in its majority, used in highways, to establish specific parameters of evaluation of the functional conditions of the pavement with PFC. It was verified that the lack of standardization of the material type used in the sand patch essay, can induce to precipitate conclusions about the condition of rubbery of the pavement. This way, a classification of levels of rubbery of the lane is proposed starting from results of essays of sand patch, with the adoption of the Normal Sand of the Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas IPT (Institute for Technological Research), in the execution of the essays. For the characterization of the superficial macrotexture the classification of digital images can be adopted, that obtained good correlation when compared to the essays of sand patch. A drain machine adapted to the specific conditions of drainage of PFC was built, becoming one more instrument of verification of the macrotexture of the pavement. The British Pendulum and Mu- meter were used and for the friction measurements between tire and pavement, being verified the lack of correlation among the equipments. The essays with Mu-meter were shown quite divergent when compared in different dates, what lead us to considerer, in the hour of the essay, all the variables that influence the measurement conditions. It is necessary a revision of the technique of rubber removal and the periodicity of the cleaning, now adopted, due to the new conditions of traffic of the Airport.

Nesta Tese, estudaram-se as condições de aderência em pavimentos com Camada Porosa de Atrito - CPA, superfície com alto índice de vazios, que atua diretamente no aspecto funcional do pavimento, escoando rapidamente a água da superfície. Pavimentos com CPA, embora aplicados em dois Aeroportos no Brasil, ainda necessitam de estudos específicos, sendo que ensaios e classificações são generalizados para todos os tipos de revestimentos. O objeto de estudo foi a pista de pousos e decolagens do Aeroporto Internacional Tancredo Neves, Confins MG. Nessa pesquisa procurou-se, por meio de equipamentos e procedimentos, na sua maioria, utilizados em rodovias, estabelecer parâmetros específicos de avaliação das condições funcionais do pavimento com CPA. Verificou-se que a falta de padronização do tipo de material utilizado no ensaio de mancha de areia, pode levar a conclusões precipitadas sobre a condição de emborrachamento do pavimento. Deste modo, é proposta uma classificação de níveis de emborrachamento da pista a partir de resultados de ensaios de mancha de areia, com a adoção da Areia Normal do Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas IPT, na execução dos ensaios. Para a caracterização da macrotextura superficial pode-se adotar a classificação de imagens digitais, que obteve boa correlação quando comparada aos ensaios de mancha de areia. Construiu-se um drenômetro adaptado às condições específicas de escoamento da CPA, tornando-se mais um instrumento de verificação da macrotextura do pavimento. Utilizou-se o Pêndulo Britânico e o Mumeter para as medições de atrito entre pneu e pavimento, sendo verificada a falta de correlação entre os equipamentos. Os ensaios com o Mu-meter mostraram-se bastante divergentes quando comparados em diferentes datas, devendo-se considerar todas as variáveis que influenciam as condições de medição na hora do ensaio.
