Difficulties with the teaching of Combinatorial Analysis in high school of brazilian public schools were the motivation of this work. Thus we have as primary objective, the exposure of a combinatorial approach without the overuse of formulas. We present several examples targeting a significant growth in understanding the concepts and solving combinatorial problems. Showing that the most important thing is to familiarize the students with the careful analysis of each problem. Indicating that to solve counting problems, you need to stop, focus, discuss, think, imagine yourself in the role of the person who will do the thing which is required for the problem, trying to change the decision to be made by a sequence of simple decisions and subsequent to that, so then be able to apply the fundamental principle of counting. Finally, we propose an activity in order to deepen the teaching of Combinatorics. Hopefully this thesis would constitute a material reflection of teaching Combinatorial Analysis, emphasizing the importance of avoiding the overuse of formulas, leading to a significant learning of this topic.
