Resumo: | The article aims at presenting how recognition has occurred regarding students of licensure in education who have entered UFG via the quota system. This institution has worked with the quota system since 2009 by means of the program UFG/ Inclui. Based on the theory of recognition, by Axel Honneth (2003), and on the data produced, this article discusses how the quota system students recognize themselves within the university regarding their recognition of others. The results pinpoint that, UFG has democratized access, promoting actions of recognition on the legal level, although insufficiently. It is also shown that the high index of students dropout can be influenced by a lack of recognition on the social steam level. |

Esta institución viene trabajando, desde 2009 por medio del programa UFG/Incluye, con el sistema de cupos sociales’. A partir de los datos producidos, procuramos discutir, con base en la teoría del reconocimiento, de Axel Honneth (2003), cómo los estudiantes de este sistema se perciben dentro de la universidad en lo que se refiere al reconocimiento del otro. Los resultados indican que la UFG, viene democratizando el acceso, promoviendo acciones de reconocimiento en la esfera del derecho, sin embargo de forma insuficiente. Verificamos también que el alto índice de evasión puede ser influenciada por la falta de reconocimiento en la esfera social.O artigo busca apresentar como tem se dado o reconhecimento dos alunos de licenciatura da UFG que entraram por meio do sistema de cotas. Essa instituição vem, desde 2009, por meio do programa UFG/Inclui, trabalhando com o sistema de cotas. A partir dos dados produzidos, procuramos discutir, com base na teoria do reconhecimento de Axel Honneth (2003), como os estudantes do sistema de cotas se percebem dentro da universidade no que se refere ao seu reconhecimento do outro. Os resultados indicam que a UFG vem democratizando o acesso, promovendo ações de reconhecimento na esfera do direito, porém de forma insuficiente.
