Resumo: | Carried out through bibliographic review, this article discusses the aspects that make language and technology not only instruments of communication but also contributing factors in the production of identities, and, in this capacity, instances that take part in ethnic-racial confluences and conflicts. The text is structured into two content units that seek to meet the following specific objectives: understanding the artificial and constitutive character of language, as well as its role in formulating the concepts of race and ethnicity in the context of identity articulations; and evaluate the relationship between language and technology, pointing out its implications for racism. As a result, the work indicates that, alongside the benefits that telematic networks provide in terms of access to information and communication, the experiences mediated by digital platforms take on ideological contours that shape discriminatory and racist attitudes, reinforcing the objectification of humans at the expense of fundamental values of diversity and existential dignity. |

Realizado a través de una revisión bibliográfica, este artículo analiza los aspectos que convierten al lenguaje y la tecnología no solo en instrumentos de comunicación, sino también en factores coadyuvantes en la producción de identidades y, en esta capacidad, en instancias que participan en confluencias y conflictos étnico-raciales. El texto se estructura en dos unidades de contenido que buscan cumplir los siguientes objetivos específicos: comprender el carácter artificial y constitutivo del lenguaje, así como su papel en la formulación de los conceptos de raza y etnicidad en el contexto de las articulaciones identitarias; y evaluar la relación entre lenguaje y tecnología, señalando sus implicaciones para el racismo. A consecuencia, el trabajo indica que, junto con los beneficios que las redes telemáticas proporcionan en términos de acceso a la información y comunicación, la experiencia mediada por plataformas digitales adquiere contornos ideológicos que modulan actitudes discriminatorias y racistas, fortaleciendo la objetificación humana en detrimento de los valores fundamentales de la diversidad y la dignidad existencial. Realizado por meio de revisão bibliográfica, o presente artigo debate aspectos que tornam a linguagem e a tecnologia, não apenas instrumentos de comunicação, mas fatores coadjuvantes na produção de identidades e, nessa condição, instâncias que participam das confluências e conflitos étnico-raciais. O texto está estruturado em duas unidades de conteúdo que procuram atender aos seguintes objetivos específicos: compreender o caráter artificial e constitutivo da linguagem, assim como o seu papel na formulação dos conceitos de raça e etnia no contexto de articulações identitárias; e avaliar a relação entre linguagem e tecnologia, apontando suas implicações sobre o racismo. Como resultado, o trabalho indica que, a par dos benefícios que as redes telemáticas proporcionam em termos de acesso à informação e comunicação, a experiência mediada por plataformas digitais também assumem contornos ideológicos que modulam posturas discriminatórias e racistas, fortalecendo a objetificação humana em detrimento dos valores fundamentais da diversidade e dignidade existencial.
