Resumo: | This paper is an essay on philosophical letter format. Its preparation starts from the question “Who are the ‘I’ and the ‘other’ of ‘Popular Extension’, ‘Popular Education’ and ‘Advocacy’?” In attempt to answer this question, theoretical formulations of Paulo Freire are invoked. Based on categories produced by his, as well as the experience made in the praxis of its author, we provide analyses and possible insights into the “Popular Extension”, “Popular Education” and “Advocacy”, its role in scientific production and knowledge and, finally, to the relationship between the university and organized groups and/or Social Movements. |

Sua elaboração se dá a partir da pergunta “quem são o ‘eu’ e o ‘outro’ da ‘Extensão Popular’, da ‘Educação Popular’ e da ‘Assessoria Jurídica Popular?’”. Para responder a esta indagação, são invocadas formulações teóricas de Paulo Freire.
