This paper aims to analyze artistic and cultural movements idealized and organized by collec-tive subjects Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transvestites and Transsexuals, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and other sexual orientations and gender identities (LGBTQIA+) as a way to guar-antee the fundamental right and human to the city. The methodological construction was based on a bibliographical survey, with a qualitative approach, which used the hypothetical-deductive method to analyze the collected data. Sousa Júnior (2008, 2019a, 2019b), Butler (1990) and Castells (1983), among others, make up the theorical base of reference. The con-clusion demonstrates that the collective artistic and cultural movements of LGBTQIA+, as-sociated with achievements of a legal-political nature, such as those provided for in the City Statute, and the epistemological, critically-based support of constructions such as the Law Achado na Rua they constitute a process that points to the expansion of the conquest of LGBTQIA+ rights, in opposition to the systematic violation by the State of fundamental rights and exclusion of this group from the public scene.
