Penso... Logo... Aprendo... Matemática é um trabalho que tem como objetivo geral analisar os processos metacognitivos no aprendizado da matemática a partir da percepção do erro pela criança. Para tanto, procuramos compreender como a criança se relaciona com a percepção do erro no aprendizado da matemática, refletir sobre os processos metacognitivos envolvidos em situações lúdico-matemáticas, assim como, problematizar os processos metacognitivos envolvidos na percepção do erro no aprendizado da matemática. Este trabalho de conclusão de curso surgiu com as inquietações geradas ao longo do 2º semestre de 2014 e 1º semestre de 2015, por meio do Projeto Ser Matemático das disciplinas de Educação Matemática 1 e Educação Matemática 2 da Faculdade de Educação da Universidade de Brasília. Resultou em uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo com elementos de um estudo de caso, onde no 2º semestre de 2015 complementamos a pesquisa com a aplicação de entrevista semiestruturada, e a realização de situações-problema com o ser matemático, sujeito deste estudo. O Projeto Ser Matemático configurou-se em 19 interações com a criança, onde realizamos, com estilo de interação colaborativo e elaborativo (YLVISAKER citado por BRAGA, 2008), jogos matemáticos, sendo estes o principal instrumento para coleta e observação dos dados. Ao fim da pesquisa, concluímos que o erro se caracteriza como algo negativo, na visão de muitos professores, da escola e principalmente da criança, uma vez que este está sempre ligado ao fracasso e acarreta em punições (PINTO, 2005). Essa característica do erro contribui para que as crianças escondam e apaguem seus erros, quando deveriam valorizá-los; uma vez que é construtivo ao processo de aprendizagem, visto que permite compreender os caminhos da construção do conhecimento pela criança. O processo de errar contribui ao desenvolvimento de habilidades e capacidades metacognitivas, à medida que proporciona à criança pensar sobre o que a fez errar, como e o que pode fazer para não errar mais; construindo assim um posicionamento crítico e reflexivo sobre sua aprendizagem. Findamos que a melhor forma de se trabalhar com as crianças, em prol do desenvolvimento da capacidade de pensar sobre o pensar (FLAVELL, 1979), é por meio das situações-problema (MUNIZ, 2009b) onde a criança terá contato com uma ampla base conceitual, e terá a oportunidade de mobilizá-la na interação com o outro, contribuindo para a formação de novas zonas de desenvolvimento iminente (VYGOTSKY, 1991). ___________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT“I make a mistake... I think about it... and, as a result,... I learn... It”. This Essay has as a main goal to analyze the metacognitive processes of how a child learns mathematics from the mistakes he/she made. In order to accomplish it, we tried to understand how a child deals with the perception of committing an error when learning mathematics, think about how the metacognitive processes happens when kids are exposed to solving problems in games, as well as discuss how the metacognitive process happens when a kid realizes he made a mistake when he/she is learning math. The idea of writing this essay came out during the second semester of 2014 and first semester of 2015 through the project called Being a Mathematician, which belongs to the Mathematics Education 1 and 2which are subjects of the Education College at the University of Brasilia. It resulted in a qualitative research introducing elements of a case study. In the second semester of 2015, we made some interviews in order to complete the research, and we made some experiments with the ones who are part of the project Being a Mathematician, main focus of study. The Project Being a Mathematician had 19 meetings with one child and we followed the elaborative and collaborative methods (YLVISAKER quoted by BRAGA, 2008), through games, which were the main tool to collect and data and observe its results. After the research, we concluded that making a mistake, according to the teacher, the school and the kids, is something negative and it can lead to failure and punishment (PINTO, 2005). This characteristic makes children hide and erase their mistakes instead of attributing value to them; however it has to be taken into account as a tool to help teachers to understand the ways a child learns. Making mistakes contributes to the development of skills and metacognitive abilities since a child thinks about what went wrong and, what has to be done to prevent committing the same error. Consequently, a child will build a critical and reflexive thinking about her own learning process.
