Resumo: This article discusses the design of a full-time school that is under construction in our country, articulating policy, history and a theoretical reflection on the curriculum organization and pedagogical work in full-time schools. From literature review and as a research procedure for an investigation of curriculum and teaching in public full-time school, we theoretically problematize two concepts that can contribute to the debate: integrated curriculum and pedagogical mediation.

A partir de la revisión y el análisis bibliográfico realizado como procedimiento de investigación de un estudio sobre el currículo y la enseñanza en la escuela pública de tiempo integral, se problematizan teóricamente dos conceptos que pueden contribuir para el debate: currículo integrado y mediación pedagógica.Este artigo objetiva problematizar o projeto de educação integral e escola de tempo integral que se encontra em construção em nosso país, articulando história e política à reflexão sobre a organização curricular e o trabalho pedagógico. São analisados parte dos resultados de uma pesquisa do tipo etnográfico realizada em seis escolas públicas de tempo integral de Ensino Fundamental, buscando identificar como tais escolas organizam o currículo e os processos de ensino e se mais tempo de escola repercute positivamente na melhoria da qualidade da aprendizagem. O procedimento de pesquisa é a observação participante e neste artigo são discutidos os aspectos físicos, pedagógicos e subjetivos do espaço escolar e suas implicações no currículo e na organização do trabalho pedagógico. As relações entre a arquitetura, a cultura material e as atividades dos sujeitos no espaço escolar revelam a diversidade de arranjos que caracterizam a implementação da escola de tempo integral, repercutindo no currículo e nos modos de realização do ensino. Problematiza-se dois conceitos que podem contribuir para o debate a respeito da escola pública de tempo integral: currículo integrado e mediação pedagógica. Palavras-chave: Escola de tempo integral.
