Resumo: | To understand physical education student’s body conceptions is important to analyze how their formation and social determinations is influencing their way of thinking, which can impact on theirs posterior professional intervention. This way, the scientific question of this text is to know if: “Does exist differences between body conceptions of academic students of 1st and 8th period of two graduation courses?”. The general objective is to identify and compare the body conceptions of 1st and 8th period of physical education graduation courses (licensure) of two teaching institutions of Goiás. This descriptive research with qualitative analyzes was made by a questionnaire specially elaborated to this research that it was applied with 143 students of Physical Education Licensure of the two Universities. The results show that the body conceptions are near the hegemonic paradigms, directed to an understanding of instrumental body, showing that is necessary a better discussion in the academic environment. |

Desse modo, o problema do presente texto é saber se “existem diferenças entre as concepções de corpo dos acadêmicos de 1° e 8° períodos de dois cursos de graduação?”. O objetivo geral é identificar e comparar as concepções de corpo de alunos de 1° e 8° períodos de licenciatura em Educação Física de duas instituições de ensino de Goiás. Este estudo descritivo de análise qualitativa foi feita por meio de um questionário elaborado especificamente para esta pesquisa, o qual foi aplicado a 143 alunos de graduação (Licenciatura em Educação Física) das duas instituições de ensino.
