Este artigo revela a concepção educativa das professoras que trabalham com as crianças pequenininhas numa creche pública municipal de Campinas e analisa a dinâmica das relações entre professoras e monitoras e destas com as crianças. Aborda a forma como se relacionam, o que fazem quando estão juntas, quando não estão e os conhecimentos que as educadoras mobilizam para cuidar das crianças e educá-Ias. Enfoquei a construção da profissão docente a partir do gênero feminino, na medida em que ser mulher, mãe (ou não) e professora condiciona a atuação profissional. As diferenças nas concepções educativas das professoras e monitoras foram explicitadas, o que é positivo para a construção da Pedagogia da Educação Infantil. A bibliografia italiana permitiu olhar a realidade de forma múltipla, contraditória e dialética.Abstract: This article reveals the educational practices of teachers of O-3 year-oldchildren in a Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education (CEMEI) of the ciry of Campinas, and analyzes the dynamics of the relationships between teachers and caregivers, and of these towards the children. I covered the way they interact, what they do when they are together, when they are apart, and the knowledge they draw on in order to educate and to take care of the children. I have focused on the construction of the teaching profession from a female perspective in view of the fact that being a woman, mother (or not) and teacher at the same time conditions the teaching behavior. I have assessed differences in the child education concepts of the teachers and the caregivers. I believe the exposure of such differences is important to the construction of the Early Childhood Education Pedagogy. The Italian bibliography allowed me to construct this research in a multiple, contradictory, and dialectal way.Key words: Teachers of children under three. Early childhood education,.
