Resumo: This text presents the academic trajectory of professor, intellectual and researcher Maurice Tardif, from the Université de Montréal (University of Montreal) in Canada, through an interview conducted by Samuel de Souza Neto and Eliana Ayoub in May 2017. Maurice Tardif has been dedicating his reflections and research to educational issues related to teaching knowledge, professional training, the division of labor at school, as well as professional insertion and teaching professions in the school context. He discusses the professionalization of teaching, questioning the fact that this process does not emerge from the teachers, but from inductions by the state or movements to value teaching, challenging teachers to fight for their own professional identity. In addition to the creation of research centers, such as the Center de Recherche Interuniversitaire sur la Formation et la Profession Enseignante (Crifpe – Center for Interuniversity Research on Education and the Teaching Profession), what is observed is the birth of a school of thought, the Québec School on Training and Teaching Profession.

Maurice Tardif ha estado dedicando su reflexiones e investigaciones sobre temas educativos relacionados con el saber docente, la formación profesional, la división del trabajo en la escuela, así como la inserción profesional y las profesiones docentes en el contexto escolar. Discute la profesionalización de la docencia, cuestionando el hecho de que este proceso no surge de los docentes, sino de inducciones del Estado o de movimientos para valorar la docencia, desafiando a los docentes a luchar por su propia identidad profesional. Además de la creación de centros de investigación, como el Centre de Recherche Interuniversitaire sur la Formation et la Profession Enseignante (Crifpe - Centro de Investigación Interuniversitaria sobre Educación y Profesión Docente), lo que se observa es el nacimiento de una escuela de pensamiento, la Escuela de Québec de Formación y Profesión Docente.Este texto apresenta a trajetória acadêmica do professor, intelectual e pesquisador Maurice Tardif, da Université de Montréal (Universidade de Montreal) no Canadá, por meio da realização de uma entrevista, realizada por Samuel de Souza Neto e Eliana Ayoub em maio de 2017. Maurice Tardif vem dedicando suas reflexões e pesquisas a temáticas educacionais relacionadas aos saberes docentes, à formação profissional, à divisão do trabalho na escola, bem como à inserção profissional e às profissões do ensino no contexto escolar. Ele discute a profissionalização do ensino, questionando o fato desse processo não emergir dos professores, mas de induções do estado ou de movimentos de valorização do magistério, desafiando os professores a lutarem pela sua própria identidade profissional.
