Culture, knowledge and school disciplines in Ibero-America

Resumo: | Since the beginning of the 1990s, in the Ibero-American context it is possible to recognize a series of investigations about education. It should be noted that the appearance of this concern for teaching as an object of study coincides with two milestones that have been key for the historiography of education: on the one hand, the publication of monographs 295 and 296 of the Journal of Education of the Ministry of Education. Education of Spain, which made available to the public a set of tools for the study of school subjects as a central issue to understand the relationships between school and culture (Viñao, 2006). In particular, work on the history of school disciplines (Chervel, 1991) and the history of the curriculum (Goodson, 1991) stand out. On the other hand, two years after these monographs, at the closing conference of the fifteenth ISCHE in Lisbon, Portugal, Dominique Julia (2001) raised a set of aspects around the historical study of school culture, in which it was echo of aspects also indicated in the monographs. |

Debe anotarse que la aparición de esa preocupación por la enseñanza como objeto de estudio coincide con dos hitos que han sido claves para la historiografía de la educación: por un lado, la publicación de los monográficos 295 y 296 de la Revista de Educación del Ministerio de Educación de España, que pusieron a disposición del público un conjunto de herramientas para el estudio de las materias escolares como asunto central para comprender las relaciones entre escuela y cultura (Viñao, 2006). En particular, sobresalen los trabajos sobre historia de las disciplinas escolares (Chervel, 1991) e historia del currículo (Goodson, 1991). Del otro lado, dos años después de esos monográficos, en la conferencia de clausura de la decimoquinta ISCHE en Lisboa, Portugal, Dominique Julia (2001) planteaba un conjunto de aspectos en torno al estudio histórico de la cultura escolar, en la que se hacía eco de aspectos también indicados en los monográficos. Desde o início da década de 1990, no contexto ibero-americano, é possível reconhecer uma série de investigações sobre educação. Ressalte-se que o surgimento dessa preocupação com o ensino como objeto de estudo coincide com dois marcos que têm sido fundamentais para a historiografia da educação: de um lado, a publicação das monografias 295 e 296 da Revista de Educação do Ministério da Educação. A Educação de Espanha, que colocou à disposição do público um conjunto de ferramentas para o estudo das disciplinas escolares como questão central para compreender as relações entre escola e cultura (Viñao, 2006). Em particular, sobressaem os trabalhos sobre a história das disciplinas escolares (Chervel, 1991) e a história do currículo (Goodson, 1991).
