Resumo: | This text presents a historiographical balance of studies about historical-educational heritage within the History of Education field, mainly considering publications prospected in scientific journals. The aim is to contribute to the understanding of the set of interests that underlie the safeguard, custody, research, valorization, and dissemination of historical-educational heritage, of school or education archives, and of institutional or personal collections of educators. The results point to research concentration and diffusion, despite the expansion and diversity of initiatives. Moreover, there is evidence of the valorization of the theme, given the publication of works in consolidated journals both in the area of education and history of education; in addition to signs of scope comprehensiveness and dispersion of theoretical-methodological references, although the postulates of Cultural History predominate. |

Los resultados apuntan a la concentración de la producción y de su difusión, a pesar de la expansión y diversidad de las iniciativas; valorización del tema con la publicación de la producción en periódicos consolidados en el área de la educación y de la historia de la educación y alcance conceptual y dispersión de los referentes teórico-metodológicos, a pesar del predominio de los supuestos de la historia cultural.Este artigo apresenta um balanço historiográfico da produção em História da Educação a respeito do patrimônio histórico educacional, a partir de publicações prospectadas em revistas científicas, buscando contribuir para a compreensão do conjunto dos interesses que versam sobre a salvaguarda, custódia, pesquisa, valorização e difusão do patrimônio histórico educacional, dos arquivos escolares ou da educação e dos acervos institucionais ou pessoais de educadores.
