Gender Issues and Violence in School: a literature review

Resumo: This article is an invitation to reflect on the multiple faces of gender violence in the various spaces of society. We start from the idea that essentialist conceptions naturalize and justify the differences between those involved, which have been ingredients for the various manifestations of this phenomenon, such as in formal teaching spaces. Thus, the main objective of this article is to analyze gender violence from research published in scientific articles through the database of the Scientific Electronic Online Library (SCIELO) in the period 2012 - 2021.This research is of a bibliographic nature and made use of the literature review, whose data were analyzed using a qualitative approach. In the development of work, we used selection criteria for the publications analyzed, such as, guiding question, descriptors (violence, gender and school), full text articles in Portuguese with theoretical, methodological, bibliographic and field research assumptions, in the different thematic areas, published in the period mentioned above, inserted in journals of qualis A and B. In the results, we found that gender violence permeates the lives of people in the school context and in other environments, of all age groups, regardless of class, sex and race. However, the indicators are more frequent for subjects with low economic scores; non-white (women and men, heterosexual or not, of all age groups) and low schooling.

Partimos de la idea de que las concepciones esencialistas naturalizan y justifican las diferencias entre asignaturas, que han sido ingredientes para las diversas manifestaciones de este fenómeno, como en los espacios formales de enseñanza. Así, el objetivo principal de este artículo es analizar la violencia de género a partir de investigaciones publicadas en artículos científicos a través de la base de datos de la Biblioteca Científica Electrónica en Línea (SCIELO) en el período 2012 - 2021. Esta investigación es de carácter bibliográfico y se hizo uso de la revisión de la literatura, cuyos datos fueron analizados con un enfoque cualitativo. En la construcción del trabajo, utilizamos criterios de selección de las publicaciones analizadas, tales como, pregunta orientadora, descriptores (violencia, género y escuela), artículos con texto completo en portugués con presupuestos teóricos metodológicos bibliográficos y de campo, en las diversas áreas temáticas, publicado en el período mencionado anteriormente, insertado en revistas de calidad A y B. En los resultados encontramos que la violencia de género permea la vida de las personas en el contexto escolar y en otros entornos, de todos los grupos de edad, independientemente de la clase, sexo y raza. Sin embargo, los indicadores son más frecuentes para sujetos con bajos puntajes económicos; no blancos (mujeres y hombres, heterosexuales o no, de todos los grupos de edad) y baja escolaridad.Este artigo é um convite às reflexões sobre as múltiplas faces das violências de gênero nos diversos espaços da sociedade. Partimos de que as concepções essencialistas naturalizam e justificam as diferenças entre os sujeitos, as quais têm sido ingredientes para as várias manifestações desse fenômeno, como nos espaços formais de ensino. Desse modo, o objetivo principal desse artigo pauta-se em analisar as violências de gênero a partir de pesquisas publicadas em artigos científicos por meio da base de dados da Biblioteca Eletrônica Científica Online (SCIELO) no período de 2012 - 2021. A presente pesquisa é de cunho bibliográfico e fez uso da revisão de literatura, cujos dados foram analisados mediante abordagem qualitativa. Na construção do trabalho utilizamos critérios de seleção para as publicações analisadas, tais como, questão norteadora, descritores (violência, gênero e escola), artigos com texto completo na íntegra no idioma português com pressupostos teóricos metodológicos bibliográficos e de campo, nas diversas áreas temáticas, publicados no período citado anteriormente, inseridos em periódicos de qualis A e B. Nos resultados constatamos que as violências de gênero permeiam as vidas de pessoas no contexto escolar e em outros ambientes, de todas as faixas etárias, independentemente de classe, sexo e raça.
