The importance of supervised internship educational practices in the training of nurses: an integrative review

Resumo: | This study presents an excerpt from a master’s dissertation with the objective of to investigate the contributions of pedagogical strategies in the discipline of Supervised Curricular Internship (ECS) for the training of nursing students. This is a qualitative research in the form of bibliographic review of the narrative type, with the search for articles carried out through the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Articles published between 2009 and 2019, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, were included. Thus, it resulted in the selection of 13 articles to compose the study, from which two thematic categories emerged. The findings go through the positive changes provided by the standardization and mandatory nature of the ECS, the teacher-student relationship as a tool for the safety and success of the teaching process. In addition, the contribution of ECS to the development of skills and competences of nursing students is highlighted. From the data obtained, it was concluded that the approximation between service, teaching institution and teacher is fundamental to the teaching-learning process at ECS. Furthermore, students need teaching strategies that stimulate them during the ECS discipline. |

Esta es una investigación cualitativa en forma de revisión bibliográfica del tipo narrativo, con la búsqueda de artículos realizados a través de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS). Se incluyeron artículos publicados entre 2009 y 2019 en portugués, inglés y español. Por lo tanto, resultó en la selección de 13 artículos para componer el estudio, de los cuales surgieron dos categorías temáticas. Los resultados pasan por los cambios positivos proporcionados por la estandarización y la naturaleza obligatoria de la ECS, la relación profesor-alumno como una herramienta para la seguridad y el éxito del proceso de enseñanza. Además, se destaca la contribución de ECS al desarrollo de habilidades y competencias de los estudiantes de enfermería. A partir de los datos obtenidos, se concluyó que la aproximación entre servicio, institución docente y docente es fundamental para el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en ECS. Además, los estudiantes necesitan estrategias de enseñanza que los estimulen durante la disciplina ECS. Este estudo apresenta um recorte de uma dissertação cujo objetivo foi investigar as contribuições das estratégias pedagógicas na disciplina de Estágio Curricular Supervisionado (ECS) para a formação do estudante de enfermagem. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa na modalidade de revisão bibliográfica do tipo narrativa, onde a busca dos artigos foi feita na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). Foram incluídos artigos publicados entre 2009 e 2019, nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol. Assim, foram encontrados 13 artigos para compor o estudo. Os dados analisados referem-se as alterações positivas proporcionadas pela normatização e obrigatoriedade do ECS, a relação professor e aluno como ferramenta de segurança e sucesso do processo de ensino. Além disso, destaca-se a contribuição do ECS para o desenvolvimento de habilidades e competências dos estudantes de enfermagem. A partir dos resultados obtidos, concluiu-se que a aproximação entre serviço, instituição de ensino e professor é fundamental para o processo de ensino-aprendizagem no ECS.
