Resumo: Mediation in Science Centers and Museums is a challenge for those who does it. However, acting as a explainer in these spaces has a great training potential for a student in personal, academic and professional’s level. When interacting with the most varied audience, the explainer learns to deal with people of different ages, social levels, education and cultures. When playing their role, in an attempt to understand what visitors know or think, explainers end up acquiring information that can enrich their experience in a unique way. The objective of this research was to identify, according to the perception of the explainers, what academic and personal contributions Ciências Sob Tendas (in english - Sciences Under Tents) (CST) provided to them throughout their performance. In this qualitative study, carried out through semi-structured questionnaires addressed to the explainers from the traveling science center CST, the thematization technique was used. We observed that acting as explainer in CST enriched its academic development, with regard to the perceptions of "Scientific research", "New knowledge", "Interdisciplinarity" and "Curricular components", like their personal development with regard to the perceptions of "Empathy", "Feelings", "Communication" and "Cultural exchange". Thus, this research showed us that the traveling science center Ciências Sob Tendas has contributed to the integral training of its explainers.

Research, Society and Development2020-07-20info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/603310.33448/rsd-v9i8.6033Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 8; e802986033Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 8; e802986033Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 8; e8029860332525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/6033/5258Copyright (c) 2020 Gustavo Henrique Varela Saturnino Alves, Chrystian Carlétti, Maria Clara dos Santos Rodrigues, Lucianne Fragel-Madeira, Robson Coutinho-Silva, Grazielle Rodrigues Pereirahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAlves, Gustavo Henrique Varela SaturninoCarlétti, ChrystianRodrigues, Maria Clara dos SantosFragel-Madeira, LucianneCoutinho-Silva, RobsonPereira, Grazielle Rodrigues2020-08-20T18:00:17Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/6033Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:29:19.630879Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
