Nursing care to the patient in orthopedics: a review by theme analysis

Resumo: | Objective: to survey current scientific knowledge regarding nursing care for orthopedic patients. Methodology: the study is an integrative literature review using the thematic analysis technique that was cut from the last five years (2018-2022). Results: the final sample consisted of six articles, the most mentioned themes were nursing care in relation to the integrity of the impaired skin, nursing care in the risk of infection, nursing care in orthopedic pain and the nurse as a member of the multidisciplinary team in orthopedics. Conclusion: through the review, a greater emphasis on nursing diagnoses was noticed, as well as the active participation of the nurse as a member of the team. It is suggested the importance of further studies on the subject, mainly research with the application of nursing diagnoses, validating or not the concepts that are addressed in the literature, bringing behaviors that can be applied to the different environments in which professional nursing care occurs, mainly related to the field of orthopedics and traumatology. |

Metodología: el estudio es una revisión integrativa de la literatura utilizando la técnica de análisis temático que fue recortado de los últimos cinco años (2018-2022). Resultados: la muestra final estuvo compuesta por seis artículos, los temas más mencionados fueron el cuidado de enfermería en relación a la integridad de la piel lesionada, el cuidado de enfermería en el riesgo de infección, el cuidado de enfermería en el dolor ortopédico y el enfermero como integrante del equipo multidisciplinario en ortopedia. Conclusión: a través de la revisión, se percibió un mayor énfasis en los diagnósticos de enfermería, así como la participación activa del enfermero como miembro del equipo. Se sugiere la importancia de profundizar los estudios sobre el tema, principalmente investigaciones con la aplicación de diagnósticos de enfermería, validando o no los conceptos que se abordan en la literatura, trayendo comportamientos que puedan ser aplicados a los diferentes ambientes en los que ocurre el cuidado profesional de enfermería, relacionados principalmente con el campo de la ortopedia y traumatología.Objetivo: levantar os conhecimentos científicos atuais referentes à assistência de enfermagem aos pacientes em ortopedia. Metodologia: o estudo trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura pela técnica análise de temática que foi recortado dos últimos cinco anos (2018-2022). Resultados: a amostra final foi composta por seis artigos, as temáticas mais mencionadas foram assistência de enfermagem com relação à integridade da pele prejudicada, assistência de enfermagem no risco de infecção, assistência de enfermagem na dor ortopédica e o enfermeiro como integrante da equipe multidisciplinar na ortopedia. Conclusão: por meio da revisão, se percebeu uma maior ênfase nos diagnósticos de enfermagem, bem como a participação ativa do enfermeiro como integrante na equipe.
