Sustainable Social Management: mission and strategy in search of alignment

Resumo: This research investigates the alignment between the strategies practiced and the organizational mission of a nonprofit institution. A reflection on the challenges faced in the management field, forcing it to rethink its mission and its way of acting. These organizations have adapted some values and converted previously informal processes into modern managerial practices of business logic. The case study, carried out under the qualitative perspective, whose main methodological support of data analysis was based on content analysis, with the objective of identifying if the strategies practiced in the organization are aligned with its social mission. The research results showed that the social management strategy perspective gains complexity in the construction process, with greater use of emerging strategies, which is justified by the abrupt changes that occur in the day-to-day of the organization.

Una reflexión enfocada en los desafíos enfrentados en el campo gerencial, obligándolo a repensar misión y forma de acción. Estas organizaciones han adaptado algunos valores y convertido procesos antes informales en modernas prácticas gerenciales de lógica empresarial. El estudio de caso, realizado desde una perspectiva cualitativa, cuyo principal soporte metodológico para el análisis de datos se basó en el análisis de contenido, con el objetivo de identificar si las estrategias practicadas en la organización están alineadas con su misión social. Los resultados de la investigación mostraron que la perspectiva de la estrategia en la gestión social gana complejidad en el proceso de construcción, con un mayor uso de las estrategias emergentes, lo que se justifica por los cambios bruscos que ocurren en el día a día de la organización.Esta pesquisa investiga o alinhamento entre as estratégias praticadas e missão organizacional de uma instituição sem fins lucrativos. Uma reflexão voltada para os desafios enfrentados no campo gerencial, obrigando-a repensar missão e forma de atuação. Estas organizações têm adaptado alguns valores e convertendo processos anteriormente informais em práticas gerenciais modernas da lógica empresarial. O estudo de caso, realizado sob a perspectiva qualitativa, cujo amparo metodológico principal de análise de dados baseou-se na análise de conteúdo, com o objetivo de identificar se as estratégias praticadas na organização estão alinhadas com sua missão social.
