Awareness about LIBRAS in the care of deaf patients in the basic health unit: an experience report

Resumo: The need for communication is an essential tool for the socio-cultural development of human beings. The inclusion of people with some type of disability is necessary and fair in the face of the society in which it is inserted, taking into account their particularities. And, for people with hearing loss it would be no different, the Brazilian Sign Language has become a precious and indispensable tool for effective communication between the interlocutors involved. However, many difficulties are still encountered by these people, especially when it comes to effective care related to when talking about health. It aims to investigate the knowledge of Libras by health professionals and their perception of the care of deaf patients. Having as target population health professionals members of UBS Leopoldo Lins, located in the city of Tamandaré-PE. Being applied through a structured questionnaire, referring to the knowledge of pounds, in a favorable environment, the data collected and later this questionnaire will be analyzed and demonstrated through quantitative description. It was possible to identify a varied sample in relation to the academic profile and professional performance. In analyzing the results of the questionnaires, it was identified that of the 6 professionals interviewed, only 1 (16.6%) reported having partial knowledge of the language. It can be concluded that many professionals claim not to have this knowledge, which makes it difficult to assist the patient, who is often not understood by the professional and the professionals who are also unable to meet all their needs effectively.

La inclusión de personas con algún tipo de discapacidad es necesaria y justa de cara a la sociedad en la que se inserta, teniendo en cuenta sus particularidades. Y, para las personas con pérdida auditiva, no sería diferente, la lengua de signos brasileña se ha convertido en una herramienta preciosa e indispensable para la comunicación eficaz entre los interlocutores involucrados. Sin embargo, estas personas todavía encuentran muchas dificultades, especialmente cuando se trata de una atención eficaz relacionada con la salud. Tiene como objetivo investigar el conocimiento de Libra por parte de los profesionales de la salud y su percepción del cuidado de los pacientes sordos. Teniendo como población objetivo a los profesionales de la salud miembros de la UBS Leopoldo Lins, ubicada en la ciudad de Tamandaré-PE. Siendo aplicado a través de un cuestionario estructurado, referido al conocimiento de libras, en un entorno favorable, los datos recolectados y posteriormente este cuestionario serán analizados y demostrados mediante descripción cuantitativa. Se pudo identificar una muestra variada en relación al perfil académico y desempeño profesional, al analizar los resultados de los cuestionarios se identificó que de los 6 profesionales entrevistados, solo 1 (16,6%) refirió tener conocimiento parcial del idioma. Se puede concluir que muchos profesionales afirman no tener este conocimiento, lo que dificulta la asistencia al paciente, que muchas veces no es comprendido por el profesional y los profesionales que además son incapaces de satisfacer todas sus necesidades de forma eficaz.A necessidade de comunicação é ferramenta imprescindível para o desenvolvimento sociocultural de seres humanos. A inclusão de pessoas com algum tipo de deficiência faz-se necessária e justa frente à sociedade na qual ela esteja inserida, levando em consideração suas particularidades. E, para pessoas com deficiência auditiva não seria diferente, a Língua Brasileira de Sinais tornou-se uma ferramenta preciosa e indispensável a uma comunicação efetiva entre os interlocutores envolvidos. No entanto, muitas dificuldades ainda são encontradas por essas pessoas, ainda mais no que diz respeito a um eficaz atendimento relacionado à quando se fala em saúde. Tem-se como objetivo investigar o conhecimento de Libras por profissionais da saúde e a percepção dos mesmos frente ao atendimento a pacientes surdos. Tendo como população alvo profissionais da área da saúde integrantes da UBS Leopoldo Lins, localizada no município de Tamandaré-PE. Sendo aplicado por meio de um questionário estruturado, referente ao conhecimento de libras, em um ambiente propício, os dados coletados e posteriormente esse questionário será analisado e demonstrado por meio de descrição quantitativa. Foi possível identificar uma amostra variada em relação ao perfil acadêmico e atuação profissional, na análise dos resultados dos questionários foi identificado que dos 6 profissionais entrevistados apenas 1 (16,6%) relatou ter conhecimento parcial sobre a língua.
