Evaluative Coffee: a reflection on formative evaluation in basic education

Resumo: | This article presents the actions developed in an extension project, promoted by a study group from a State University in Paraná. Named “Evaluative Coffee”, project was attended by students and teachers from Higher Education and Basic Education. The objective was to provide participants with moments of reflection on evaluative practices, conceptions and alternative evaluative actions, above all, of a diagnostic and formative nature. To this end, seven meetings were planned and held, which took place in face-to-face. In order to theoretically support the project activities, articles and book chapters from researchers investigating Educational Evaluation were used. The nature of this research is qualitative and Textual Discursive Analysis was used to analyze the data collected from the participants who answered a questionnaire applied in the last meeting. As a result of the analysis, it was possible to infer that evaluation is a topic that concern teachers, teachers desire more knowledge regarding the theme of educational evaluation, both in the theoretical and practical sense and alternative evaluation practices are welcome in the school context. |

Denominado “Café Evaluativo”, el proyecto contó con la participación de estudiantes y profesores de Educación Superior y Educación Básica. El objetivo fue brindar a los participantes momentos de reflexión sobre prácticas evaluativas, concepciones y acciones evaluativas alternativas, especialmente de carácter diagnóstico y formativo. Para ello, se planificaron y celebraron siete reuniones, que se llevaron a cabo de forma presencial. Para apoyar teóricamente las actividades del proyecto se utilizaron artículos y capítulos de libros de investigadores que se dedican a la Evaluación Educativa. La naturaleza de esta investigación es cualitativa y el Análisis Discursivo Textual e utilizó para analizar los datos recolectados de los participantes que respondieron un cuestionario aplicado en la última reunión. Como resultado del análisis, se pudo inferir que la evaluación es un tema que interesa a los docentes, los docentes ansían un mayor conocimiento sobre el tema de la evaluación educativa, tanto en el sentido teórico como práctico y las prácticas alternativas de evaluación son bienvenidas en el contexto escolar.Este artigo apresenta as ações desenvolvidas em um projeto de extensão, promovido por um grupo de estudos de uma universidade estadual paranaense. Denominado “Café Avaliativo”, o projeto contou com a participação de alunos e professores do Ensino Superior e da Educação Básica. O objetivo foi oportunizar aos participantes momentos de reflexão a respeito das práticas avaliativas, concepções e ações avaliativas alternativas, sobretudo de cunho diagnóstico e formativo. Para tanto, foram planejados e realizados sete encontros, que ocorreram de forma presencial. A fim de sustentar teoricamente as atividades do projeto, foram utilizados artigos e capítulos de livros de pesquisadores que investigam a Avaliação Educacional. A natureza desta pesquisa é qualitativa e utilizou-se a Análise Textual Discursiva para analisar os dados coletados dos participantes que responderam a um questionário aplicado no último encontro.
