Perception of teachers from the state network of the Municipality of São João da Barra - RJ about the use of Google Classroom in emergency remote education

Resumo: Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) has the main objective of providing temporary access to the teaching and learning process with the support of Digital Technologies (DT) reliably, during an emergency or crisis.  In this sense, a survey was carried out with teachers from the state public network in the municipality of São João da Barra, in the interior of Rio de Janeiro, to investigate the perception of teachers about the use of the Google Classroom platform during the ERT period.  The research was developed according to a qualitative approach and was exploratory.  This article aims to present an analysis of the data collected through an online questionnaire.  The results signaled that a Google Classroom platform was well accepted in the view of the teachers participating in the research.  Some positive and negative points were observed by the teachers.  The positive aspects were corrected to the possibility of the student maintaining the link with the school, an interaction between teacher and student through DT and an excellent junction between education and technology, a bridge that seeks to facilitate the understanding and consequent student learning.  The negative points were the students who do not have access to the teaching platform in a social exclusion because they do not have computers, the lack of internet by many students, the lack of maturity and commitment in this type of education and of not yet feeling comfortable recording video.

En este sentido, se realizó una encuesta con docentes de la red pública estatal en la ciudad de São João da Barra, en el interior de Río de Janeiro, para investigar la percepción de los docentes sobre el uso de la plataforma Google Classroom durante el período ERE. La investigación se desarrolló con un enfoque cualitativo y fue exploratoria. Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar el análisis de los datos recopilados a través de un cuestionario en línea. Los resultados indicaron que la plataforma Google Classroom fue bien aceptada por los profesores que participaron en la investigación. Los profesores observaron algunos puntos positivos y negativos. Los aspectos positivos enumerados fueron la posibilidad que tiene el alumno de mantener el vínculo con la escuela, la interacción entre docente y alumno a través del TD y una excelente unión entre educación y tecnología, un puente que busca facilitar la comprensión y consecuente aprendizaje del alumno. Los puntos negativos fueron los estudiantes que no tienen acceso a la plataforma resultando en exclusión social por no tener computadoras, la falta de internet para muchos estudiantes, la falta de madurez y compromiso en este tipo de enseñanza y aún no sentirse cómodo grabando video.O Ensino Remoto Emergencial (ERE) tem o objetivo principal de possibilitar acesso temporário ao processo de ensino e aprendizagem com o suporte de Tecnologias Digitais (TD) de forma confiável, durante uma emergência ou crise. Neste sentido, foi realizada uma pesquisa com professores da rede pública estadual do município de São João da Barra, interior do Rio de Janeiro para investigar a percepção dos professores sobre o uso da plataforma Google Classroom no período do ERE. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida segundo uma abordagem qualitativa e foi do tipo exploratória. Este artigo visa apresentar a análise dos dados coletados por meio de um questionário on-line. Os resultados sinalizaram que a plataforma Google Classroom foi bem aceita na visão dos professores participantes da pesquisa.  Observaram-se alguns pontos positivos e negativos por parte dos professores. Os aspectos positivos listados foram à possibilidade de o aluno manter o vínculo com a escola, a interação entre professor e aluno por meio das TD e uma excelente junção entre educação e a tecnologia, uma ponte que busca facilitar à compreensão e consequente a aprendizagem do aluno.
