Teaching with images: visual communication as a teaching-learning tool in the Philosophy textbook adopted in IFCE's integrated courses

Resumo: | This article aims to add to the investigations about the textbook and investigate the functions and effectiveness that visual communication exercises in the publication adopted by the Philosophy discipline of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará - Campus de Fortaleza - in technical courses integrated to high school. Based on this effort, which will use visual analysis tools such as Semiotics and Gestalt, we intend to evaluate how photos, illustrations, cartoons, works of art, comics, among other visual elements, promote the liberating philosophical reflection that allows the student break with the strictly technical education to which the working classes have historically been subjected and guide them towards the category of training advocated by the authors dealing with professional and technological education, that is, integral or omnilateral training. Thus, it is possible to offer contributions that make it possible to evaluate the ways in which the image has been used in the context of teaching-learning practice so that it can extract the maximum of the imagery resources and reinforce among teachers, pedagogical coordinators, editors, graphic designers, illustrators, artists and all those involved in the production and use of didactic material on the importance of a critical and vast visual repertoire in the process of unveiling the world beyond what words can describe. |

En base a este esfuerzo, que incluirá herramientas de análisis visual como Semiótica (Santaella, 2002) y Gestalt (Gomes Filho, 2000), está destinado a evaluar fotos, ilustraciones, dibujos animados, obras de arte, cómics y otros elementos visuales promueven la reflexión filosófica liberadora que permite al estudiante romper con la educación estrictamente técnica a la que las clases trabajadoras han sido sometidas históricamente y orientarlas hacia la categoría de capacitación defendida por los autores que se ocupan de la educación profesional y tecnológica, es decir, el entrenamiento integral u omnilateral. Por lo tanto, es posible ofrecer contribuciones que permitan evaluar las formas en que la imagen se ha utilizado en el contexto de la práctica de enseñanza-aprendizaje, con el fin de extraer el máximo de los recursos de imágenes y reforzarlo entre maestros, coordinadores pedagógicos, editores, diseñadores gráficos, ilustradores, artistas y todos aquellos involucrados en la producción y uso de material didáctico sobre la importancia de un repertorio visual crítico y vasto en el proceso de desvelar el mundo más allá de lo que las palabras pueden describir.Este artigo tem como objetivo somar-se às investigações acerca do livro didático e investigar as funções e a eficácia que a comunicação visual exerce na publicação adotada pela disciplina de Filosofia do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Ceará – Campus de Fortaleza – nos cursos técnicos integrados ao Ensino Médio. A partir desse esforço, que contará com ferramentas de análise visual como a Semiótica (Santaella, 2002) e a Gestalt (Gomes Filho, 2000), pretende-se avaliar como fotos, ilustrações, charges, obras de arte, quadrinhos e outros elementos visuais, promovem a reflexão filosófica libertadora que permitem ao discente romper com a educação estritamente tecnicista a que as classes trabalhadoras vêm sendo submetidas historicamente e que os oriente no sentido da categoria de formação propugnada pelos autores que versam sobre educação profissional e tecnológica, qual seja, o da formação integral ou omnilateral.
