The importance of computer programming for Mathematical understanding

Resumo: This research was developed to answer questions that took shape during the author's academic career, after he noticed an improvement in his mathematical abilities during his journey in a higher degree in computer science, with this the general objective of this research was to verify the benefits that could be noticed through the bibliographic research raised. While the data were collected, the questions that the author considered of fundamental importance for the research and that guided the subjects discussed here were: What is the difference between the current practice of teaching mathematics and a teaching based on the use of programming language resources? What benefits can programming bring to the student's life inside and outside the classroom? This work focused mainly on mathematics classes and their technologies, in view of the increasing use of traditional computers and microcomputers in the most diverse instances of society and the possibilities that these devices bring, using them in the educational environment becomes of paramount importance in student preparation. In this context, using the mathematical concepts that are within computer programming can be of great help for a more practical education, in addition to the fact that combined with the contribution of the subject to attract a lot of interest from students, since it involves new technologies. and the possibilities of creating games and computer programs, subjects that are intrinsic to our daily lives today.

Mientras se recogían los datos, las preguntas que el autor consideró de fundamental importancia para la investigación y que orientaron los temas tratados aquí fueron: ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre la práctica actual de la enseñanza de las matemáticas y una enseñanza basada en el uso de recursos del lenguaje de programación? ¿Qué beneficios puede traer la programación a la vida del estudiante dentro y fuera del aula? Este trabajo se enfocó principalmente en las clases de matemáticas y sus tecnologías, en vista del creciente uso de las computadoras y microcomputadoras tradicionales en las más diversas instancias de la sociedad y las posibilidades que brindan estos dispositivos, utilizarlos en el ámbito educativo se vuelve de suma importancia en la preparación de los estudiantes. En este contexto, utilizar los conceptos matemáticos que se encuentran dentro de la programación de computadoras puede ser de gran ayuda para una educación más práctica, además de que combinado con el aporte de la materia despierta mucho interés en los estudiantes, ya que involucra nuevas tecnologías y las posibilidades de creación de juegos y programas informáticos, temas que son intrínsecos a nuestra vida cotidiana en la actualidad.Esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida para responder perguntas que tomaram forma durante a carreira acadêmica do autor, após o mesmo notar melhora de suas capacidades matemáticas durante sua jornada em um curso superior de ciência da computação, com isto o objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi verificar quais os benefícios que puderam ser notados através da pesquisa bibliográfica levantada. Enquanto os dados foram levantados as perguntas que o autor considerou de fundamental importância para a pesquisa e que nortearam os assuntos aqui tratados foram: Qual a diferença entre a prática atual do ensino de matemática e um ensino baseado na utilização dos recursos de linguagem de programação? Que benefícios a programação pode trazer na vida do estudante dentro e fora de sala de aula? Este trabalho focou principalmente para as aulas de matemática e suas tecnologias, tendo em vista a crescente utilização dos computadores tradicionais e microcomputadores nas mais diversas instâncias da sociedade e as possibilidades que estes aparatos trazem, utilizá-los no ambiente educacional se torna de suma importância na preparação dos alunos.
