A debate on mathematical modeling in the curriculum of basic education mathematics teacher training courses in the city of Humaitá – Amazonas

Resumo: | The present work discusses the importance of mathematical modeling as a method of teaching and learning mathematics in basic education, capable of favoring significant experiences in the school context, with emphasis on the curriculum of basic education mathematics teacher training courses. Its general objective was to describe training courses for mathematics teachers from the main higher education in the Municipality of Humaitá, State of Amazonas, which include this teaching practice in their curricula. This city in Amazonas was chosen considering its importance as a university center in the interior of Amazonas, which requires institutions such as the Institute of Education, Agriculture and Environment Amazonas. A bibliographic review research was carried out, with the analysis of articles, books, dissertations and theses related to the subject in question, which provided theoretical support for the writing. On the Other hand, information was collected on the presence of mathematical modeling as subject in the curriculum of such higher education institutions, the target of this research, which helped to highlight the importance of teaching and learning practices aligned with the methodology of mathematical modeling, even if its non-consolidation in the curricula of initial teacher training courses is notorious. |

Tuvo como objetivo general describir los curos de formación de profesores de matemáticas de las principales instituciones de educación superior ubicadas em el Municipio de Humaitá, Estado do Amazonas, que incluyen esta práctica docente em sus planes de estudio. Esta ciudad de Amazonas fue elegida considerando su importancia como centro universitario del interior de Amazonas, lo que requiere de instituciones como el instituto de Educación, Agricultura y Medio Ambiente de la Universidade Federal de Amazonas. Se Realizó una investigación de revisión bibliográfica, con el análisis de artículos, libros, disertaciones y tesis relacionadas con el tema cuestión, que brindaron sustento teórico para la redacción. Por otro lado, se recopiló información sobre la presencia de la modelación matemática como materia em el currículo de dichas instituciones de educación superior, objeto de esta investigación, lo que ayudó a resaltar la importancia de prácticas de enseñanza y aprendizaje alineadas con la metodología de la modelación matemática. Se bien es notorio su no consolidación em los planes de estudio de los cursos de formación inicial docente.O presente trabalho discuti a importância da modelagem matemática como método de ensino e aprendizagem de matemática na educação básica capaz de favorecer vivências significativas no contexto escolar, com ênfase para as grades curriculares dos cursos de formação de professores de Matemática da educação básica. Teve como objetivo geral descrever cursos de formação de professores de Matemática das principais instituições de ensino superior sediadas no município de Humaitá, Estado do Amazonas, que contemplam essa prática de ensino em suas grades curriculares. A escolha desta cidade do Amazonas ocorreu tendo em vista sua importância enquanto centro universitário do interior do Amazonas, que obriga instituições como o Instituto de Educação, Agricultura e Ambiente da Universidade Federal do Amazonas. Realizou-se uma pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica, com a análise de artigos, livros, dissertações e teses referentes ao assunto em questão, o que forneceu sustentação teórica para a escrita.
