The climate crisis in Biology textbooks (PNLD 2018-2020) in the light of the Specialized Knowledge model of Biology Teachers

Resumo: The textbook is an important tool in school learning, serving as a bridge to approach complex content and make academic-scientific language accessible to the student age group. Taking into account its relevance, the objective of this work was to characterize the specialized knowledge on the theme of Climate Crisis present in Biology textbooks, indicated by the National Textbook Program (2018-2020), using the Specialized Knowledge Model of Teachers of Biology as a methodological tool. The theme was analyzed in the first or third year books of six didactic collections, where we highlight excerpts from the books that were configured as teaching episodes containing specialized knowledge. In the six analyzed works, we identified a total of 148 specialized knowledge according to the Specialized Knowledge model of Biology Teachers. We realize that the thematic climate crisis is worked on in a critical and reflective way in textbooks, but some excerpts analyzed may develop in students the feeling that nothing is done to solve this problem, mischaracterizing the effort of national and international research institutions to produce studies on the impacts arising from the climate crisis and its mitigation measures. In the current political panorama of our country, it is of great importance to talk about the climate crisis, since the negationism grows as the government takes advantage of the social incredulity about the environmental catastrophes, commonly experienced in Brazil and in the world, intensified by the development in the various economic sectors, which make their long-term impacts invisible to the environment and society.

Teniendo en cuenta su relevancia, el objetivo de este trabajo fue caracterizar el conocimiento especializado sobre el tema de Crisis Climática presente en los libros de texto de Biología, señalado por el Programa Nacional de Libros de Texto (2018-2020), utilizando el Modelo de Conocimiento Especializado de Docentes de La biología como herramienta metodológica. El tema fue analizado en los libros de primer o tercer año de seis colecciones didácticas, donde destacamos extractos de los libros que se configuraron como episodios didácticos que contienen conocimientos especializados. En los seis trabajos analizados, identificamos un total de 148 conocimientos especializados según el modelo de Conocimientos Especializados de Docentes de Biología. Nos damos cuenta de que la crisis climática temática se trabaja de manera crítica y reflexiva en los libros de texto, pero algunos extractos analizados pueden desarrollar en los estudiantes la sensación de que no se hace nada para resolver este problema, caracterizando erróneamente el esfuerzo de las instituciones de investigación nacionales e internacionales para producir estudios. sobre los impactos derivados de la crisis climática y sus medidas de mitigación. En el panorama político actual de nuestro país, es de gran importancia hablar de la crisis climática, ya que el negacionismo crece a medida que el gobierno se aprovecha de la incredulidad social ante las catástrofes ambientales, comúnmente vividas en Brasil y en el mundo, intensificadas por el desarrollo. en los distintos sectores económicos, que invisibilizan sus impactos a largo plazo para el medio ambiente y la sociedad.O livro didático é um importante instrumento no aprendizado escolar, servindo de ponte para abordagem de conteúdos complexos e tornam a linguagem acadêmico-científica acessível a faixa etária estudantil. Levando em consideração a sua relevância, o objetivo deste trabalho foi caracterizar o conhecimento especializado sobre o tema Crise Climática presente nos livros didáticos de Biologia, indicados pelo Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (2018-2020), utilizando o modelo do Conhecimento Especializado de Professores de Biologia como ferramenta metodológica. A temática foi analisada nos livros de primeiro ou terceiro ano de seis coleções didáticas, onde destacamos trechos dos livros que se configurassem como episódios de ensino contendo conhecimento especializado. Nas seis obras analisadas, identificamos o total de 148 conhecimentos especializados segundo o modelo do Conhecimento Especializado de Professores de Biologia. Percebemos que a temática crise climática é trabalhada de forma crítica e reflexiva nos livros didáticos, mas alguns trechos analisados podem desenvolver nos estudantes a sensação de que nada se faz para resolução desta problemática, descaracterizando o esforço de instituições de pesquisas nacionais e internacionais em produzir estudos sobre os impactos provenientes da crise climática e suas medidas de mitigação.
