Health promotion and disease prevention from the perspective of active aging

Resumo: | Objectives: to know the perception of the participants of a health promotion and disease prevention group on the contributions of the activities carried out to adhere to the treatment of Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases and to improve or maintain the health condition and identify whether the participants relate health promotion and disease prevention activities to the search for active aging. Methodology: descriptive exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, realized with 15 people who attended the Vida e Saúde, group of the Family Health Strategy Unit of a municipality in the south of Brazil, from February to March 2019. The collection of data was through semi-structured and recorded individual interviews. Thematic Analysis was used for data analysis. Results: presented in the following categories Encouraging the incorporation of healthy habits into the daily routine; Pain control; The group as a welcoming place; The group as a means of access to information and social interaction. The activities carried out in the Vida e Saúde group are perceived by the participants as positive and that encourage active aging, self-care and the adoption of healthy habits. Conclusion: it was possible to identify the importance of the group and the approach of Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases, health education actions and activities developed for these participants, even with the unusual use of the terms “chronic disease” and “integrative and complementary practices” by participants. |

Metodología: estudio exploratorio descriptivo, con enfoque cualitativo, realizado con 15 personas que asistieron al grupo Vida y Salud de la Unidad de Estrategia de Salud de la Familia de un municipio del sur de Brasil, de febrero a marzo de 2019. La colección de datos fue a través de entrevistas individuales semiestructuradas y grabadas. Para el análisis de los datos se utilizó el Análisis Temático. Resultados: presentado en las siguientes categorías Fomentar la incorporación de hábitos saludables a la rutina diaria; Control de dolor; El grupo como lugar acogedor; El grupo como medio de acceso a la información e interacción social. Las actividades realizadas en el grupo Vida y Salud son percibidas por los participantes como positivas y que fomentan el envejecimiento activo, el autocuidado y la adopción de hábitos saludables. Conclusión: Se pudo identificar la importancia del grupo y el abordaje de Enfermedades Crónicas No Transmisibles, acciones y actividades de educación en salud desarrolladas para estos participantes, aun con el uso inusual de los términos “enfermedad crónica” y “prácticas integradoras y complementarias” por los participantes.Objetivos: conhecer a percepção dos participantes de um grupo de promoção da saúde e prevenção de doenças sobre as contribuições das atividades realizadas para a adesão ao tratamento das Doenças Crônicas Não Transmissíveis e para melhoria ou manutenção da condição de saúde e identificar se os participantes relacionam as atividades de promoção da saúde e prevenção de doenças, com a busca por um envelhecimento ativo. Metodologia: estudo exploratório descritivo, de abordagem qualitativa, realizado com 15 pessoas que frequentavam o grupo Vida e Saúde da Unidade Estratégia de Saúde da Família de um município do sul do Brasil, no período de fevereiro a março de 2019. A coleta de dados foi por meio de entrevistas individuais semiestruturadas e gravadas. Para a análise dos dados utilizou-se a análise temática. Resultados: apresentados nas seguintes categorias Estímulo a incorporação diária de hábitos saudáveis na rotina; Controle da dor; O grupo como local de acolhimento; O grupo como um meio de acesso à informação e de interação social. As atividades realizadas no grupo Vida e Saúde são percebidas pelos participantes como positivas e que estimulam um envelhecimento ativo, o autocuidado e a adoção de hábitos saudáveis.
