Evaluation of the use of mathematical knowledge in the daily lives of high school students in Cajazeirinhas/PB

Resumo: | The present work was developed with the objective of exposing the relationship between mathematics used in students' daily lives and mathematics taught at school, relating contextualized mathematical problems with everyday life. So that, in this way, students improve their knowledge and have more interest in mathematics classes, resulting in effective learning. The research was carried out at the State School located in the city of Cajazeirinhas-PB, with high school students. It was based on the survey test, which was given a questionnaire to the class teacher and another one for the students. The research is characterized as qualitative research in the action research modality. In view of the results obtained, it can be seen that some students are unable to relate mathematics to their daily lives and professions, making it necessary for teachers to seek to understand the needs that students have in the teaching of mathematics, always showing each content addressed, the importance and relationship that mathematics has in their daily lives, making it possible for students to acquire interest in the discipline. |

De esta manera, los estudiantes mejoran sus conocimientos y tienen más interés en las clases de matemáticas, lo que resulta en un aprendizaje efectivo. La investigación se realizó en la escuela estatal ubicada en la ciudad de Cajazeirinhas-PB, con estudiantes de secundaria. Se basó en la prueba de la encuesta, que recibió un cuestionario para el maestro de clase y otro para los estudiantes. La investigación se caracteriza como investigación cualitativa en la modalidad de investigación de acción. En vista de los resultados obtenidos, se puede ver que algunos estudiantes no pueden relacionar las matemáticas con sus vidas y profesiones cotidianas, por lo que es necesario que los maestros busquen comprender las necesidades que los estudiantes tienen en la enseñanza de las matemáticas, mostrando siempre cada contenido abordado, la importancia y la relación que las matemáticas tienen en su vida diaria, haciendo posible que los estudiantes adquieran interés en la disciplina.O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de expor a relação da Matemática utilizada no dia-a-dia dos alunos com a Matemática ensinada na escola, relacionando problemas matemáticos contextualizados com o cotidiano. Para que, dessa forma, os alunos aprimorem seus conhecimentos e tenham mais interesse nas aulas de Matemática, resultando em uma aprendizagem efetiva. A pesquisa foi realizada na Escola Estadual localizada na cidade de Cajazeirinhas-PB, com alunos do Ensino Médio. Teve como base da pesquisa o teste de sondagem, a qual foi entregue um questionário ao professor da turma e outro para os alunos. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como pesquisa qualitativa na modalidade pesquisa-ação.
