Methodological proposals for developing practices involving the interface between history and mathematics teaching

Resumo: | In the current scenario of Brazilian studies related to mathematical education, a highlight has been the articulation with the field of the history of mathematics. In this sense, it is understood that the history of mathematics provides resources that can be investigated through didactic and pedagogical issues with respect to mathematics teaching. Under an updated historiographic perspective, these studies search to understand the processes of elaboration, transmission, and transformation of mathematical ideas over time and incorporate them into methodological strategies that can contribute to the teaching process. With a view to unveiling this scenario, this study aims to discuss some methodologies used in research that involve the interface between history and the mathematics teaching. Thereunto, a systematic bibliographic search was carried out, searching for a debate and a reflection of reading articles and books related to the research object. Three methodological proposals related to studies involving the interface are perceived: documentary and historical, collaborative, and ethnographic research. These indications help future researchers to link the process of creating a praxis, action-reflection-action movement, to the updated historiographic perspective. Thus, aiming at future interventions in basic education, starting from the theories applied in the initial and continuing teachers training so that these professionals can transpose the concepts and methods in their teaching practice. |

En este sentido, se entiende que la historia de las matemáticas proporciona recursos que pueden ser investigados a través de preguntas didácticas y pedagógicas en lo que respecta a la enseñanza de las matemáticas. Bajo una perspectiva historiográfica actualizada, estos estudios buscan comprender los procesos de elaboración, transmisión y transformación de las ideas matemáticas a lo largo del tiempo e incorporarlas en estrategias metodológicas que puedan contribuir al proceso de enseñanza. Para develar este escenario, el presente estudio tiene como objetivo discutir algunas metodologías utilizadas en la investigación que involucran la interfaz entre la historia y la enseñanza de las matemáticas. Para ello, se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica sistemática, buscando un debate y una reflexión sobre la lectura de artículos y libros relacionados con el objeto de investigación. Hay tres propuestas metodológicas relacionadas con los estudios que involucran la interfaz: investigación documental e histórica, colaborativa y etnográfica. Estas indicaciones ayudan a los futuros investigadores a vincular el proceso de creación de una praxis, un movimiento de acción-reflexión-acción, con la perspectiva historiográfica actualizada. Así, apuntando a futuras intervenciones en educación básica, partiendo de las teorías aplicadas en la formación inicial y continua del profesorado para que estos profesionales puedan trasponer los conceptos y métodos en su práctica docente.No atual cenário de estudos brasileiros relativos à educação matemática, um destaque vem sendo a articulação com o campo da história da matemática. Nesse sentido, compreende-se que a história da matemática fornece recursos que podem ser investigados mediante a questões didáticas e pedagógicas no que diz respeito ao ensino de matemática. Sob uma perspectiva historiográfica atualizada, esses estudos buscam conhecer os processos de elaboração, transmissão e transformação das ideias matemáticas ao longo dos tempos e incorporá-los a estratégias metodológicas que possam contribuir no processo de ensino. Com vistas a desvelar este cenário, o presente estudo tem o propósito de discutir algumas metodologias utilizadas em pesquisas que envolvem a interface entre a história e o ensino de matemática. Para isso, foi realizado uma pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo sistemática, buscando por um debate e uma reflexão da leitura de artigos e livros relacionados ao objeto de pesquisa. Percebe-se três propostas metodológicas relacionadas a estudos envolvendo a interface: pesquisa documental e histórica, colaborativa e a etnográfica. Essas indicações ajudam futuros pesquisadores a vincular o processo de criação de uma práxis, movimento de ação-reflexão-ação, para a perspectiva historiográfica atualizada.
