The State of the Art on the use of mobile technologies in Basic Education: mapping of works written from 2016 to 2018

Resumo: This work addresses the use of mobile technologies in Basic Education. They are increasingly present in children, teenagers and young people's daily lives. The objective is to map some academic works related to this topic. Therefore, State of the Art research was used as methodology; and the data was constituted from research and information taken from the Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), from the Revista Novas Tecnologias na Educação (RENOTE), and from the Annals of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Simpósio Nacional de Tecnologias Digitais na Educação (SNTDE). On databases, these following descriptors were used: “mobile technologies”, “mobile technology”, “mobile devices”, “mobile device”, “mobile learning” and “mobile education”. Taking into account that mobile technologies include several types of devices, among them, cell phones, tablets and notebooks, some works were identified that deal with this term comprehensively, not only one of the particular devices. After applying a delimited selection in each one database, 19 works were found: 5 dissertations and 14 scientific articles. Some categories were identified in these works, such as: research objectives, methodological approach and pedagogical practices. The researched works used a qualitative methodological approach. Most of the pedagogical practices were focused on Elementary Education.

Estas están cada vez más presentes en la vida cotidiana de niños, adolescentes y jóvenes. El objetivo es mapear las producciones académicas sobre este tema. Para este fin, la metodología utilizada fue la investigación del tipo Estado del Arte, cuyas fuentes de datos consistieron en recopilación de informaciones en el Catálogo de Tesis y Disertaciones de la Coordenção de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), en la Revista Novas Tecnologias na Educação (RENOTE) y en los anales del I, II y III Simpósio Nacional sobre Tecnologias Digitais em Educação (SNTDE). En estos bancos se utilizaron los siguientes descriptores: “tecnologías móviles”, “tecnología móvil”, “dispositivos móviles”, “dispositivo móvil”, “mobile learning” y “aprendizaje móvil". Teniendo en cuenta que las tecnologías móviles abarcan varios dispositivos, entre ellos, teléfonos celulares, tabletas y computadoras portátiles, se identificaron estudios que abordaron el término de manera integral, no uno de los dispositivos en particular. Después de que se aplicaron los refinamientos a cada banco, se encontraron un total de 19 producciones, incluidas 5 disertaciones y 14 artículos. En estas producciones, se identificaron las siguientes categorías: objetivos de la investigación, enfoque metodológico y prácticas pedagógicas. Los trabajos investigados utilizaron un enfoque metodológico cualitativo. La mayoría de las prácticas pedagógicas se centraron en la educación primaria.Este artigo aborda o uso de tecnologias móveis na Educação Básica. Estas estão cada vez mais presentes no dia a dia de crianças, adolescentes e jovens. O objetivo é mapear as produções acadêmicas sobre o referido tema. Para tanto, foi utilizada como metodologia a pesquisa tipo Estado da Arte, cujas fontes de dados consistiram em levantamento de informações no Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), na Revista Novas Tecnologias na Educação (RENOTE) e nos anais do I, II e III Simpósio Nacional de Tecnologias Digitais na Educação (SNTDE). Foram utilizados nesses bancos os seguintes descritores: “tecnologias móveis”, “tecnologia móvel”, “dispositivos móveis”, “dispositivo móvel”, “mobile learnin” e “aprendizagem móvel”. Considerando que tecnologias móveis englobam vários dispositivos, dentre eles, celulares, tablets e notebooks, foram identificados trabalhos que tratassem do termo de forma abrangente, não de um dos dispositivos em particular. Após aplicados os refinamentos em cada banco, encontrou-se um total de 19 produções, sendo 5 dissertações e 14 artigos. Nessas produções identificaram-se as seguintes categorias: objetivos de pesquisa, abordagem metodológica e práticas pedagógicas. Os trabalhos pesquisados utilizaram uma abordagem metodológica qualitativa.
