Development of educational technology in Primary Care: continuity and transition of care for the elderly

Resumo: Objective: to develop an educational technology like a booklet to assist the continuity and transition of care between Primary Health Care and the Outpatient Clinic. Method: This is a methodological, descriptive and exploratory research, with the production of an educational technology aimed at developing a flipbook and audiobook booklet. For the preparation of the content of the booklet, interviews were conducted with 16 nurses who work in the city, which is the scenario for the development of this technology. The interviews were analyzed in terms of content and generated two categories of analysis: the continuity of care for the elderly in Primary Health Care; and strategies identified to enable the continuity of care for the elderly in Primary Health Care. The booklet construction process involved five steps: layout, illustration, writing of texts, content and reference. Result: From the two categories generated with the analysis of the interviews, the chapters of the booklet were structured, comprising: Health Care network; continuity and transition of care; strategies for achieving continuity and transition of care; strategies for achieving continuity and transition of care for the elderly. Conclusion: it is considered that the development of this educational technology helps in the work process in nursing, in health, and in the integration between the health care network.

Método: Se trata de una investigación metodológica, descriptiva y exploratoria, con la producción de una tecnología educativa orientada a la elaboración de un flipbook y un audiolibro. Para la elaboración del contenido del cuadernillo, se realizaron entrevistas a 16 enfermeras que laboran en la ciudad, escenario para el desarrollo de esta tecnología. Las entrevistas fueron analizadas en términos de contenido y generaron dos categorías de análisis: la continuidad de la atención al adulto mayor en Atención Primaria de Salud; y estrategias identificadas para posibilitar la continuidad de la atención al anciano en Atención Primaria de Salud El proceso de construcción del cuadernillo contó con cinco pasos: maquetación, ilustración, redacción de textos, contenido y referencia. Resultado: A partir de las dos categorías generadas con el análisis de las entrevistas, se estructuraron los capítulos del cuadernillo, que comprenden: Red de Atención a la Salud; continuidad y transición de la atención; estrategias para lograr la continuidad y transición de la atención; estrategias para llevar a cabo la continuidad y transición de la atención a las personas mayores. Conclusión: se considera que el desarrollo de esta tecnología educativa ayuda en el proceso de trabajo en enfermería, en salud y en la integración entre la red asistencial.Objetivo: Desenvolver uma tecnologia educacional tipo Cartilha para auxiliar a continuidade e a transição do cuidado entre a Atenção Básica em Saúde e o Ambulatório à pessoa idosa. Método: Trata-se de uma pesquisa metodológica, descritiva e exploratória, com produção de uma tecnologia educativa voltada para elaboração de uma cartilha flipbook e audiobook. Para a elaboração do conteúdo da cartilha, foram realizadas entrevistas com 16 enfermeiros que atuam no município cenário de desenvolvimento desta tecnologia. As entrevistas foram analisadas quanto ao conteúdo e geraram duas categorias de análise: a continuidade do cuidado à pessoa idosa na Atenção Básica à Saúde; e estratégias identificadas para possibilitar a continuidade do cuidado à pessoa idosa na Atenção Básica à Saúde. O processo de construção da cartilha envolveu cinco etapas: diagramação, ilustração, elaboração dos textos, conteúdos e referência. Resultado: A partir das duas categorias geradas com análise das entrevistas, foram estruturados os capítulos da cartilha, compreendendo: rede de Atenção à Saúde; continuidade e transição do cuidado; estratégias para a realização da continuidade e da transição do cuidado; estratégias para a realização da continuidade e da transição do cuidado à pessoa idosa.
