The Use of Media in the Construction of Significant Knowledge in Geography in a State School of Manaus with Classes of the 5th Grade of Elementary School

Resumo: The objective of this research is to describe the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the construction of knowledge in geography at the State School Prof.ª Bernardete Socorro Trindade da Rocha with students from two classes of the 5th grade of elementary school. The purpose research methodology was classified as applied science, as the objective of the study was labeled as exploratory, the analysis of results occurred qualitatively and quantitatively. The period of practical application took place in August 2021. The universe of the research was a teacher and 60 students of the 5th year of elementary school, the place of study was at the Bernadete Socorro Trindade State School. The analysis unit was 60 elementary school students and one teacher. In the end, it is understood that the use of Google Earth presented itself satisfactorily, not only for the process of significant learning of the student, besides offering educators a tool for the development of teaching practice, in view of the methodological proposal. Although socioeconomic status seems to be postulated as a determining factor with the greatest impact on students' educational outcomes, a broader and more in-depth analysis of studies addressing this phenomenon shows that the school trajectory is the result of the combination of multiple factors located in the individual, family, school and community spheres.

La metodología de investigación de propósito fue clasificada como ciencia aplicada, ya que el objetivo del estudio fue etiquetado como exploratorio, el análisis de los resultados ocurrió cualitativa y cuantitativamente. El periodo de aplicación práctica tuvo lugar en agosto de 2021. El universo de la investigación fue un docente y 60 alumnos del 5º grado de primaria, el lugar de estudio fue en la Escuela Estatal Bernadete Socorro Trindade. La unidad de análisis fue de 60 estudiantes y profesores de primaria. Al final, se entiende que el uso de Google Earth se presentó satisfactoriamente, no solo para el proceso de enseñanza del aprendizaje significativo de los estudiantes, sino también para ofrecer a los educadores una herramienta para el desarrollo de la práctica docente, en vista de la propuesta metodológica. Por otra parte, se concluye que aunque el nivel socioeconómico parece postularse como un factor determinante con mayor impacto en los resultados educativos de los estudiantes, un análisis más amplio y profundo de los estudios que abordan este fenómeno muestra que la trayectoria escolar es el resultado de la combinación de múltiples factores ubicados en las esferas individual, familiar, escolar y comunitaria.O objetivo desta pesquisa é descrever a utilização das tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TIC) na construção de conhecimento em geografia na Escola Estadual Prof.ª Bernardete Socorro Trindade da Rocha com alunos de duas turmas da 5° série do Ensino Fundamental. A metodologia da pesquisa por finalidade foi classificada como ciência aplicada, quanto ao objetivo do estudo foi rotulado como exploratório, a análise de resultados ocorreu de modo qualitativo e quantitativo. O período da aplicação prática ocorreu em agosto de 2021. O universo da pesquisa tratou-se de uma professora e 60 alunos do 5º ano do ensino fundamental, o local de estudo foi na Escola Estadual Bernadete Socorro Trindade. A unidade de análise foi 60 alunos do ensino fundamental e uma professora. Ao final, compreende-se que a utilização do Google Earth se apresentou de forma satisfatória, não apenas para o processo de aprendizagem significativa do aluno além do mais oferecer aos educadores uma ferramenta para o desenvolvimento da prática de docência, diante da proposta metodológica.
