Resumo: Introduction: The pandemic of COVID-19 shook the foundations of modern societies, bringing numerous significant biopsychosocial consequences, which should be highlighted and analyzed in order to structure viable ways to overcome them. Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate the biopsychosocial impacts caused by the pandemic of COVID-19. Materials and Methods: This is an integrative literature review about the biopsychosocial consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The PICO strategy was used to develop the guiding question. Moreover, the descriptors "COVID-19"; "Psychosocial Impact"; "Health" were cross-referenced with the National Library of Medicine (PubMed MEDLINE), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Ebscohost, Google Scholar, and Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases. Results and Discussion: A significant portion of the articles indicated a correlation between the pandemic of COVID-19 and impacts on the biopsychosocial sphere, such as the manifestation of negative feelings and psychic suffering. In addition, other articles approached the importance of the practice of physical exercises to face the coronavirus, and another part of the articles indicated the direct involvement of health care workers. Conclusion: It was possible to realize that the pandemic scenario compromised the most diverse areas of the biopsychosocial context, reinforcing the need to give new meaning to the health-disease process, based on a more humanistic and social approach.

Research, Society and Development2022-10-04info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3538610.33448/rsd-v11i13.35386Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 13; e197111335386Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 13; e197111335386Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 13; e1971113353862525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/35386/29620Copyright (c) 2022 André Azzi Veneroso; Heitor Machado de Oliveira; Giulia Dakhil Moyzes Zanin; Igor Oliveira Ribeiro; Júlia Rocha Morão; Matheus de Oliveira Furtado; Matheus Motta Quesada Fortes; Pedro Rosa Blanco ; Vincenzo Parreira Candiotto; Marilene Rivany Nuneshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessVeneroso, André Azzi Oliveira, Heitor Machado de Zanin, Giulia Dakhil Moyzes Ribeiro, Igor Oliveira Morão, Júlia Rocha Furtado, Matheus de Oliveira Fortes, Matheus Motta Quesada Blanco , Pedro Rosa Candiotto, Vincenzo Parreira Nunes, Marilene Rivany 2022-10-17T13:43:46Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/35386Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:50:19.479102Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
