The role of Sciences of History, Philosophy and Epistemology of Science in changes in conceptions on the nature of science in future teachers

Resumo: The debate about the inclusion of History and Philosophy in science education has been developed for a long time. However, a simplistic view of the nature of scientific knowledge among students and teachers still prevails. This research studied the conceptions of undergraduate students in an Exact Sciences course at a public university in Western Paraná. The research was carried out over 3 years and was based about History, Philosophy and Science Teaching of the 3rd semester and the discipline of Epistemology of the 5th semester. Open questionnaires were carried out at the beginning and at the end of the disciplines, which were analyzed using the Discursive Textual Analysis approach. The results show that, although timid, there is a significant change in the students' conceptions over the years, especially regarding the methodological issues of the production of scientific knowledge.

Sin embargo, todavía percibimos una visión muy simplista de la naturaleza del conocimiento científico entre estudiantes y profesores. Esta investigación estudió las concepciones de estudiantes de pregrado en un curso de Ciencias Exactas en una universidad pública en el oeste de Paraná. La investigación se llevó a cabo durante 3 años y se basó en las asignaturas de Enseñanza de Historia, Filosofía y Ciencias del tercer semestre y la disciplina de Epistemología del quinto semestre. Los cuestionarios abiertos se llevaron a cabo al principio y al final de las disciplinas, que se analizaron utilizando el enfoque de Análisis textual discursivo. Los resultados indican que, aunque tímidos, hay un cambio significativo en las concepciones de los estudiantes a lo largo de los años, especialmente con respecto a los problemas metodológicos de la producción de conocimiento científico.O debate acerca da inclusão da História e da Filosofia no ensino de Ciências já vem sendo desenvolvido há longa data. No entanto, ainda predomina uma visão muito simplista da natureza do conhecimento científico entre alunos e professores. Esta pesquisa estudou as concepções de licenciandos de um curso de Ciências Exatas de uma universidade pública do Oeste do Paraná. A pesquisa foi realizada ao longo de 3 anos e pautou-se nas disciplinas de História, Filosofia e Ensino de Ciências do 3ºsemestre e da disciplina de Epistemologia do 5º semestre. Foram realizados questionários abertos no início e no final das disciplinas, os quais foram analisados pelo viés da Análise Textual Discursiva.
