Brazilian Nursing Higher Education and sociological's history of identities

Resumo: | Objective: to describe how the Nursing higher education in Brazil was processed over time, considering its historical context and the relationship with its identity. Methods: exploratory-descriptive literature review, with a qualitative approach. It is an excerpt from a doctoral thesis. Results: based on the studies listed, a historical reconstruction of the structure of Nursing higher education and its relationship with the construction of the professional identity of undergraduates was established. Conclusions: the organizational historicity narrated infers that by shifting nursing care from the concept of vocation to a concept called scientific, nurses were not able to solve their identity problem. Furthermore, the importance of promoting the review and readjustment of the National Curriculum Guidelines for Nursing Graduation is highlighted, in view of the changes in the labor market and the incisive educational changes determined in the last year for pandemic reasons and which have already been 20 years since these were created. |

Metodología: revisión de la literatura, exploratoria-descriptiva, con enfoque cualitativo. Es un extracto de una tesis doctoral. Resultados: a partir de los estudios enumerados se estableció una reconstrucción histórica de la estructura de la educación superior en Enfermería y su relación con la construcción de la identidad profesional de los estudiantes de pregrado. Conclusiones: la historicidad organizacional narrada infiere que al cambiar el cuidado de enfermería del concepto de vocación a un concepto llamado científico, las enfermeras no pudieron resolver su problema de identidad. Además, se destaca la importancia de promover la revisión y reajuste de las Directrices Curriculares Nacionales de la carrera de Enfermería, ante los cambios en el mercado laboral y los incisivos cambios educativos determinados en el último año por motivos pandémicos y que ya han sido 20 años desde que se crearon.Objetivo: descrever como se processou ao longo do tempo o ensino superior de Enfermagem no Brasil considerando-se seu contexto histórico e a relação com sua identidade. Metodologia: revisão de literatura, de caráter exploratório-descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa. Trata-se de um excerto de tese de doutorado. Resultados: a partir dos estudos elencados foi estabelecida uma reconstituição histórica da estruturação do ensino superior de Enfermagem e a sua relação com a construção da identidade profissional dos graduandos. Conclusão: a historicidade organizacional narrada infere que ao deslocar o cuidado de Enfermagem do conceito de vocação para um conceito denominado científico, as enfermeiras não conseguiram resolver seu problema de identidade.
