Resumo: There are many challenges faced by women in the process of entering the job market, especially in some areas of activity such as engineering, which for many years were seen as professional areas aimed at the male universe, where nowadays women have also acted with excellence. Faced with the growth in the supply of undergraduate courses in the area of Engineering and the current predominance of men in the classroom, in the search to identify the main challenges faced by women in the area of engineering, this qualitative and quantitative research was carried out, through the primary data collection method, through a questionnaire directed to the engineers registered at CREA - SP, with the objective of reflecting on this process of professional inequality between men and women, the research brought evidence of moral and gender harassment in the construction of the professional identity, where the greatest difficulty presented by women is related to obtaining equality of opportunity and salary so that they can have a fair space in relation to competitiveness with men.

Ante el crecimiento de la oferta de cursos de pregrado en el área de Ingeniería y el predominio actual de los hombres en las aulas, en la búsqueda de identificar los principales desafíos que enfrentan las mujeres en el área de ingeniería, este cualitativo y se realizó una investigación cuantitativa, a través del método de recolección de datos primarios, a través de un cuestionario dirigido a los ingenieros registrados en CREA - SP, con el objetivo de reflexionar sobre este proceso de desigualdad profesional entre hombres y mujeres, la investigación trajo evidencia de moral y acoso de género en la construcción de la identidad profesional, donde la mayor dificultad que presentan las mujeres está relacionada con la obtención de igualdad de oportunidades y salario para que puedan tener un espacio justo en relación a la competitividad con los hombres.São muitos os desafios encontrados pelas mulheres no processo de inserção ao mercado de trabalho, principalmente em algumas áreas de atuação como as engenharias que por muitos anos foram vistas como áreas profissionais direcionadas ao universo masculino, onde na atualidade a mulher também tem atuado com excelência.
