Teaching of sciences and mathematics: an analysis of theses of the south of Brazil

Resumo: The aim of understand the impact on elementary education of scientific productions, doctoral level, in the area of science and mathematics education, in the Southern Region of Brazil. It is discussed research results developed under PROBIC/FAPERGS, Franciscan University. It was a quantitative/qualitative study, involving mapping of theses produced between 2013-2017. For this article, we focused on the Southern region, where 6 PPGs and a total of 159 published theses were found. In the qualitative analysis, the results were categorized as: the objectives, the methodology and the impacts in the basic education. Postgraduate studies have had less impact than the intended quality of basic education.

Se discuten resultados de investigación desarrollada en el ámbito del PROBIC / FAPERGS, Universidad Franciscana. Se trató de estudio cuantitativo / cualitativo que involucró un mapeo de tesis producidas entre 2013-2017. Para este artículo, se enfocó la región Sur, donde fueron encontrados 6 PPGs y total de 159 tesis publicadas. En el análisis cualitativo, los resultados fueron categorizados en cuanto a los objetivos, la metodología y los impactos en la educación básica. Los estudios de postgrado, han tenido menos impacto que el que se pretende en la calidad de la educación básica.Objetiva-se compreender os impactos na educação básica de produções científicas nível de doutorado, na área do ensino de ciências e matemática, na Região Sul do Brasil. Discutem-se resultados de pesquisa desenvolvida no âmbito do PROBIC/FAPERGS, Universidade Franciscana. Tratou-se de estudo quanti/qualitativo que envolveu um mapeamento de teses produzidas entre 2013-2017. Para este artigo, enfocou-se a região Sul, onde foram encontrados 6 PPGs e total de 159 teses publicadas. Na análise qualitativa, os resultados foram categorizados quanto: aos objetivos, à metodologia e aos impactos na educação básica.
