HISTORY OF CHILDREN'S LITERACY IN GOIÁS AND ANALYTICAL METHODS [1916-1925]

Resumo: | This article analyzes the history of children's literacy in Goiás, in the 20th century, between the years 1916 and 1925, understanding the methods for teaching reading and writing in primary schools in Goiás, which were indicated in educational legislations. The initial time frame is justified by the fact that 1916 was the year of the enactment of the first Goiás law that formalized, properly, a literacy method of analytical march, to be adopted in the state's educational institutions. As early as 1925, a regulation was enacted in which, unlike the legal provisions of the period, it was anchored in the adoption of the analytical method, but without specification. It is a documentary research, taking as its main source the educational legislation of the state of Goiás during the period. The analysis of the documentation suggests that there was a recommendation for the use of analytical methods of literacy, which were in line with the principles of the New School and which gave rise to a “modern school”, in line with the national movements for the schooling of children in the republican regime. |

El marco temporal preliminar se justifica por el hecho de que 1916 fue el año de la promulgación de la primera ley en Goiás que formalizó, debidamente, un método de alfabetización de marcha analítica a ser adoptado en las instituciones educativas del estado. Ya en 1925 se promulgó un reglamento que, a diferencia de las disposiciones legales de la época, se ancoraba en la adopción del método analítico, pero fuera de especificación. Trata de una investigación documental, que se estableció, fundamentalmente, en la legislación educativa de Goiás de la época. El análisis de la documentación sugiere que hubo una recomendación para el uso de métodos analíticos de alfabetización que estaban en línea con los principios de la Escuela Nueva y que dieron origen a una “escuela moderna”, en dirección con los movimientos nacionales por la escolarización de los niños en el régimen republicano.Este artigo analisa a história da alfabetização de crianças em Goiás, no século XX, entre os anos de 1916 e 1925, compreendendo os métodos para o ensino inicial da leitura e da escrita nas escolas primárias goianas, que foram indicados nas legislações educacionais. O recorte temporal inicial se justifica por ser 1916 o ano da promulgação da primeira lei goiana que oficializou, propriamente, um método de alfabetização de marcha analítica, a ser adotado nas instituições escolares do estado. Já em 1925, promulgou-se uma regulamentação em que, diferente dos dispositivos legais do período, ancorava-se na adoção do método analítico, mas sem especificação. Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental, tomando como fonte, primordialmente, a legislação educacional goiana do período.
