DIGITAL LITERACY AS AN INSTRUMENT OF SOCIAL INCLUSION AND DEMOCRATIZATION OF KNOWLEDGE: PRESENT CHALLENGES

Resumo: The article this's general objective analyze the importance of literacy in society today, more specifically of digital literacy or electronic as an instrument of social inclusion and democratization of knowledge. Our study has as methodological grounds Content Analysis (BARDIN, 1977) emphasizes initially the approach of digital inclusion, the distinctions and convergence between alphabetization and literacy, emphasizing that in our society of knowledge or information (CASTELLS, 1993) the process of teaching-learning has to be focused in the the preparation of the individual that not only understand, but engage in the environment which lives, building knowledge from the handling of ICT's - Information technologies and Knowledge. Yet we will indicate our considerations which are to present day challenges which are placed in relation to digital literacy.

Nosso estudo que tem como fundamentação metodológica a Análise de Conteúdo (BARDIN, 1977) enfatiza inicialmente a abordagem da inclusão digital,as distinções e convergências entre alfabetização e letramento, enfatizando que na nossa sociedade do Conhecimento ou da Informação (CASTELLS, 1993) o processo de ensino-aprendizagem tem que estar focado na preparação do indivíduo que não apenas compreenda, mas interaja no meio em que vive, construindo conhecimentos a partir do manuseio das TIC’s - Tecnologias da Informação e do Conhecimento.
