ETHICS AND MORALITY IN COOPERATIVES: A POSSIBILITY?

What is ethics and morality? And how they should act toward an effective cooperativemanagement guided by principles and values that are by nature itself? In this study,these are the guiding questions to be discussed and reflected through a review of thetopic, within the processes of intervention, applied to cooperatives, about how oneshould act and how they can understand the action of others, from the perspective ofOliveira and Freitag. Among the findings, posits that ethics and morality may be apossibility in cooperative management since it contained the true values that areintrinsic to cooperatives. Search then an appropriate cooperative management prioritizethe training of associates to recognize themselves as owners, users of this collective wayof organizing and also form the external managers to understand and address the needsthat arise as to convey the scale cultivate social and democratic values that underlie thepractice of cooperatives, reducing or even avoiding the various individual interests atstake.
