Resumo: The textbook (LD) is the pedagogical resource most used by teachers and students in the teaching-learning process, despite not being the only one. From this consideration, this article presents the approach of the place concept in a textbook of 6th year, resource widely used by teachers and students in the teaching- learning process. The analysis included bibliographic survey, to highlight the importance of school geography and place, followed by fieldwork in the research school. The results show that the use of the book in Geography lessons , despite having elements favorable to conduct the learning more attractive , problematical and instigator , gives a superficial perspective of the place approach. This result contradicts the provisions of the guidelines regarding the School Geography and official documents that link the appreciation of the place in educational relations / learning , as a means of empowerment and recovery of the world lived the student , the construction of knowledge mediators geographical.

De cette considération, cet article vise à analyser le concept du lieu dans un manuel de sixième année, utilisé dans la ville de Formosa-Goiás. Par conséquent, la méthodologie utilisée comprenait la recherche bibliographique, pour souligner l'importance de la géographie dans l'école et le lieu, suivi par le travail de terrain dans l'école recherché. Enfin, l'analyse des manuels scolaires. Les résultats ont témoigné que l'utilisation du livre en cours de géographie, en dépit d'éléments favorables pour mener l'apprentissage plus attrayant, problématique et instigateur, donne une perspective superficielle de l'approche au concept du lieu. Ce résultat contredit les dispositions des lignes directrices relatives a la géographie scolaire et les documents officiels qui lient l'appréciation du lieu dans l'éducation des relations/apprentissage, comme un moyen d'autonomisation et de récupération du monde vécu par l'étudiant, la construction de médiateurs de connaissances géographique.O livro didático (LD) é o recurso pedagógico mais utilizado pelos professores e alunos no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, a despeito de não ser o único. A partir dessa consideração, o presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar a utilização do lugar em um livro didático do 6º ano, utilizado na cidade de Formosa - Goiás. Para isso, a metodologia utilizada contou com pesquisa bibliográfica, para destacar a importância da Geografia Escolar e o lugar, seguido de trabalho de campo na escola pesquisada. Por último, análise do livro didático. Os resultados obtidos atestaram que, a utilização do livro nas aulas de Geografia, apesar de possuir elementos favoráveis à condução da aprendizagem de forma mais atraente, problematizadora e instigadora, confere uma perspectiva superficial à abordagem do lugar.
