Resumo: | Geography suffers numerous and constant changes in recent times, is present in many everyday activities, permeates through formal and informal learning environments. Influences in politics, historical moments in the cultural context of each nation, in economic strategies and decisions involving the environment. So the educator professional has to take into consideration all these aspects because, as school discipline, tries to explain this global network of relationships. In this sense, the objective of this study is to understand the relevance of the Institutional Program Initiation Purse in Teaching - PIBID and its contribution in the initial training of geography teachers. The methodology developed took from literature with authors who talk about the theme Arroyo (2000), Callai (2010), Brown (2004), Fonseca (2011); observation of intervention in PIBID project and a questionnaire to 25 students who participated in the project PIBID (first half) and 2014 who were attending the training course supervised at Regency periods. So every day is more urgent educators with innovative profile that punctuate his work in the content domain, ethics and creativity. In this sense, the teacher needs to investigate their work, their training and social function in view of its practice for when complex content are developed parallel inventiveness, can testify mnemonic and / or decorative classes. |

Influencia na política, nos momentos históricos, no contexto cultural de cada nação, nas estratégias econômicas e em decisões que envolvem o meio ambiente. Portanto o profissional educador tem de levar em consideração todos estes aspectos, pois, enquanto disciplina escolar tenta explicar a trama global de relações. Neste sentido, o objetivo deste estudo é entender a relevância do Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência - PIBID e sua contribuição na formação inicial de professores de Geografia. A metodologia desenvolvida se deu a partir de levantamento bibliográfico com autores que discorrem sobre a temática Arroyo (2000), Callai (2010), Castanho (2004), Fonseca (2011); observação das intervenções no projeto PIBID e aplicação de questionário a 25 estudantes que participaram do projeto PIBID (primeiro semestre) de 2014 e que estavam cursando a disciplina estágio supervisionado em períodos de regência. Assim, cada dia é mais urgente educadores com o perfil inovador, que pontuam seu trabalho no domínio de conteúdo, ética e criatividade.
