The vocal reports of histories lived by individuals is one of the ways to rescue information that are not always present in documents. Thus, the aim of this study was to analyze how they characterize the physical activity and work during the colonization of the municipality of Rondon – PR. For this, we will use the participants' reports of two groups of the Elderly of this municipality, called "Amizade" and "Paz e Amor". The research was characterized as exploratory with qualitative approach. Participated in the research 16 subjects aged between 60 and 78 years participant of two acquaintance groups of Seniors from Marechal Cândido Rondon - PR. To obtain the data, an semi-structured interview was accomplished with the elderly. The analysis of the results was accomplished through the categorization of the information coming from the speeches of the research's participants, confronting with the specific theoretical referenciais. The results demonstrated that due to the valorization and the need of the work, the practice of physical activities not related to the work were lacking on the individual life, specially by the needing of development of the community the period of colonization of the municipality.
