Extension projects proposed by Physical Education courses offered to people with disabilities

Resumo: | OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the offer of extension projects linked to the practice of physical activities offered by physical education courses to people with disabilities in Public Universities of the state of Paraná. METHODS: It was characterized as descriptive research, with a qualitative approach. For data collection, an online form from the Google Forms platform was used, which was answered by coordinators of extension projects that met the established criteria. RESULTS: It was found that nine higher education institutions in the state of Paraná offer a degree in Physical Education - Licentiate or bachelor’s degree. Of these, five higher education institutions offer their students extension projects aimed at people with disabilities. CONCLUSION: from the reflections carried out, the offer of extension projects aimed at people with some type of disability has a social and professional nature, contributing to an inclusive and training character. |

MÉTODO: Caracterizou-se como uma pesquisa descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa. Para a coleta de dados foi utilizado um formulário online da plataforma Google Forms, o qual foi respondido por coordenadores dos projetos de extensão que atendiam aos critérios previstos. RESULTADOS: Constatou-se que nove Instituição de Ensino Superior IES no estado do Paraná ofertam o curso de graduação em Educação Física - Licenciatura ou Bacharelado. Dessas, cinco IES ofertam a seus discentes projetos de extensão voltados às pessoas com deficiência.
