Resumo: | The discussion, in the context of science education, is significant about the need to contextualize the scientific concepts approached in the classroom, because one of the challenges today is the improvement of the Brazilian educational system. In this context, the approach of themes has been configured as a curricular and / or methodological alternative for the articulation between the scientific conceptualization and aspects arising from the student's reality. Considering this, it was intended to identify the relationships that high school students establish between the physical conceptualization, especially the concept of pressure, and the functioning of the human body; It is intended to investigate and discuss the potentialities and limits of the approach of contextual themes related to the human body in the teaching of physics. Methodologically, the research has a qualitative nature, being used as research instruments a questionnaire, report of experimental activity and systematizing questions. The analysis of the data obtained is based on studies that discuss about the approach of themes in science education. Among the results, it is noteworthy that although the students previously had difficulties to establish relationships between the physical conceptualization and the functioning of the human body, they demonstrated significant improvement in the experimental activity. They also consider the theme important and facilitating the understanding of physics concepts. |

They also consider the theme important and facilitating the understanding of physics concepts.É significativa a discussão, no contexto do ensino de Ciências, em torno da necessidade de contextualização dos conceitos científicos abordados em sala de aula, pois um dos desafios da atualidade é a melhoria do sistema educacional brasileiro. Neste âmbito, a abordagem de temas vem se configurando uma alternativa curricular e/ou metodológica para a articulação entre a conceituação científica e aspectos advindos da realidade do aluno. Considerando isso, pretendeu-se identificar as relações que alunos do ensino médio estabelecem entre a conceituação física, em especial o conceito de pressão, e o funcionamento do corpo humano; e pretende-se, investigar e discutir as potencialidades e os limites da abordagem de temas contextuais relacionados ao corpo humano no ensino de Física. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa possui natureza qualitativa, sendo que foram usados como instrumentos de pesquisa um questionário, relato de atividade experimental e questões sistematizadoras. A análise dos dados obtidos está balizada em estudos que discorrem acerca da abordagem de temas no ensino de Ciências. Destaca-se, entre os resultados, que embora os alunos anteriormente tivessem dificuldades de estabelecer relações entre a conceituação física e o funcionamento do corpo humano, demonstraram significativa melhora na atividade experimental.
