THE ABSENCE OF THE BODY IN REMOTE TEACHING ACTIVITIES: MEANING, SILENCE, AND DISCOURSE

Resumo: | The pandemic caused by Covid-19 changed the relationships established between the subjects involved in the school context. Students’ lack of active participation is often noted, as they commonly do not interact and keep their cameras and microphones turned off during online activities. Based on this scenario, this article has as its object of analysis six excerpts from interviews carried out with students from Integrated High School and Technical Courses from Federal Institutes in different states, and aims to analyze the meaning effects engendered by the absence of the body in remote education activities. Therefore, a theoretical-analytical path was traced based on Pêcheux’s Discourse Analysis, which allows, as a methodology, to interrogate the interpretation in order to understand its discursive functioning. With the investigation, it was understood that both the body and the silence of its absence give rise to meaning effects that impact the constitution of subjectivity, and that especially the affective distance in the student environment is accentuated. |

A partir de este escenario, este artículo presenta como objeto de análisis seis fragmentos de entrevistas realizadas con estudiantes de Educación Secundaria Integrada a Cursos Técnicos de Institutos Federales de diferentes estados y tiene como objetivo analizar los efectos de sentido generados por la ausencia del cuerpo en las actividades de enseñanza a distancia. Para ello, se traza un camino teórico-analítico apoyado en el Análisis del Discurso pecheuxtiano, que permite, como metodología, cuestionar la interpretación con el fin de comprender su funcionamiento discursivo. A través de la investigación, se comprendió que tanto el cuerpo como el silencio de su ausencia suscitan efectos de sentido que afectan la constitución de la subjetividad, acentuándose, sobre todo, la distancia afectiva en el entorno estudiantil.Com a pandemia ocasionada pela Covid-19, a relação estabelecida entre os sujeitos implicados no contexto escolar mudou, sendo observada como frequente a falta de participação ativa dos estudantes, que comumente não interagem e mantêm suas câmeras e microfones desligados nos encontros on-line. Partindo desse cenário, este artigo apresenta como objeto de análise seis recortes de entrevistas realizadas com discentes do Ensino Médio Integrado a Cursos Técnicos de Institutos Federais de estados distintos e objetiva analisar os efeitos de sentido engendrados pela ausência do corpo nas atividades remotas de ensino. Para tanto, traça-se um trajeto teórico-analítico apoiado na Análise de Discurso pecheuxtiana, que permite, como metodologia, interrogar a interpretação a fim da compreensão de seu funcionamento discursivo.
