Reflexões sobre a abordagem do tema China na geografia escolar

China is among the most important countries in the world scenario that has gained more space in the global economy and more and more present day in daily life. It is the most populous country in the world with about 1.3 billion people and is the third largest country in area. Given the undeniable economic importance that this country has, the present study aims to find out how China is taught in some public schools in Ourinhos / SP, during the Secondary School and High School, and see whether this is so satisfactory. The methodology used was the analysis of two collections of textbooks for use in schools and analyzed official documents of federal and state government. It intended that this study is useful as a research tool for teachers that will address China in their geography lessons
