A importância da literatura de ficção científica no ensino de física

Resumo: The present work, using inductive and hypothetic-deductive methods, aimed to expose the importance of science fiction literature for the teaching of Physics. Its contributive proposal was the explanation that the use of fiction, particularly science fiction works, stimulates the imagination, opening and preparing student's minds for abstract concepts contained in the professor's discourse and in Physics didactic books. The science fiction explores in its plot scientific concepts in hypothetical situations and this is an immersion opportunity for the reader/student to make the comprehension more possible. Therefore, the methodological approach applied was the qualitative research of the exploratory type and the method used was content analyses. The data gathering technic adopted to make the proposal practical was bibliographical research, assembling books of literary theory, articles and works in Education, Physics and Literature areas, and ultimately, hard and soft science fiction short stories and novels

Sua proposta contributiva consistiu na explanação que o uso da literatura de ficção, em particular as obras de ficção científica, estimula a imaginação, abrindo e preparando a mente dos alunos para os conceitos abstratos contidos no discurso do professor e nos livros didáticos de Física. A ficção científica explora em seu enredo conceitos científicos em situações hipotéticas e essa é uma oportunidade de imersão para o leitor/aluno tornar a compreensão algo mais possível. Para tanto, a abordagem metodológica aplicada foi a pesquisa qualitativa do tipo exploratória e o método utilizado foi a análise de conteúdo.
